🇺🇲🇬🇧 Main blog where I showcase my creations about my favorite game, Soul Blade/Calibur. Feel free to get inspiration from here 😉 🇨🇵 Blog principal où j'expose mes créations sur mon jeu préféré, Soul Blade/Calibur.
A drawing dedicated to @minarugi / @min-art-rugi 🩵
This was based on Mina's design of Ryo in Soulcalibur! (Which you should definitely check out it's so amazing!)
I really hope you like this drawing! The SC series has so much beautiful official art and it gave me so much inspiration, I'm so glad this introduced me into SC and it's art❤️
It also makes me so happy to talk about shenmue and Ryo with someone else! He definitely gives off knight vibes and Hwang and him seem really alike 😍
And of course I had to add Ren....😅 Btw I know nothing about Soulcalibur so this was made off of nothing but vibes and love XD
I definitely plan on drawing Ren and Ryo based on this pose soon cuz it's so perfect for them!
A custom ceramic bowl inspired by Hwang's Taoist magic
Voici mon nouveau bol de chips 😁 -- Here's my new potato chips bowl 😁
L'inspiration -- The inspiration
A month and a week ago, I tried out ceramic painting with friends in a new store in town.
I already had an idea of what I wanted to do but the D-day, I became overwhelmed with stress: I spent an entire hour hesitating before the wide range of crockery and my project appeared very ambitious 😭
As a result, I rushed my project during the last session hour left: I simplified the original pattern and engraved it with a bevelled stick onto the layers of paints.
We picked up our creations last wednesday.
Mon bol à la fin de l'atelier -- How it looked like at the end of the workshop.
I was sceptical with what I left but the final result left me speechless! 😯
Ceramic painting is hard because it's difficult to look ahead for the final appearance of your product. The shop owners explained that the true colors reveal themselves after the coating processes and all blank spaces become dazzling white.
I'm surprinsingly satisfied with how it turns. The deep dark blue was closed to what I was expected (the paints are miscible) and the pattern is clearly visible! It's a kind of magic somehow! 😯
I know that's Talim's birthday but instead here's her travel companion.
I made the first sketch (left) the day before Yunsung's birthday (or else nearly a month ago). It took me 4 hours in the waiting room at the garage. Back home, I replicate it on another paper (right) to create the composition I had in mind. It still awaits for inking. I rediscover it today amongs my stuffs in another waiting room ^^'
I hope I could have finished it for the young lad's birthday. Whoops... I'm veeeeeery late at the party ^^'
Inspired by @rice-mue / @rice-glu's crossover, I was dying to see a fight between Ryo and Ren from Shenmue. So I recovered some slots from Create-A-Soul mode to recreate versions of Wuying Ren in Soul Calibur.
I made a first try by creating an original character with Seong Mi-Na's fighting style. It was not that bad but I was not completely convinced. As Ren from the port being a ganster wielding knifes, I thought this could be a suitable cosplay for Maxi the pirate.
Petite démo en image / Exhibition's footage
Timestamp -- vs Ren (Soul of Seong Mi-Na) 8:35 to 4:13 -- vs Maxi: 4:10 to 0:00
Désolée pour mon niveau pitoyable... -- Sorry for my lame gamer's level...
I was playing as Hwang in both battle (CPU level: Legendary). The second confrontation was more thrilling and furious. Hwang's special intro and outro towards Maxi matched perfectly to the context and represents well Ryo-Ren relationship in Shenmue 😂 Besides, Maxi's fiery temper adapted well to Ren's personality.
Decided to do a thing for Mayternity, and only just got it done in time; I've been on a real Soul Calibur kick for the past few months, and Sophitia canonically has kids twice, with said kids even being playable by V. Yeah, there are a couple other characters I could have picked—Xianghua also falls into this category!—but I also love the idea of Taki being a badass ninja auntie.
My favorite part is probably Taki being so comically serious; poor Pyrrha, getting her strength of character judged by her demon-slaying shinobi aunt before she's even born.
Done with a Bic 0.5mm mechanical pencil, Copic Multiliner pens, Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pens, Copic Sketch alcohol markers, Prismacolor white and colorless blender soft lead colored pencils, and Copic opaque white ink, all on Strathmore smooth surface Bristol.
Just want to let you know that I've created a side blog.
Because I like keeping things organised and coherent, the main blog becomes my shrine dedicated exclusively for Soul Calibur stuffs and a visual showcase for various creation related to the tale of souls and swords.
The side blog is dedicated to my other interests, passions and behind the scene for my art's creative process (including Soul Calibur). By the way, I may be more chatty on this space 😅
That's why you may find reblog from one blog to another depending on the subject.
Anyway, both blogs have the same purpose: to share ideas and encourage creativity.
Dude, I was bumping hella Roots Manuva when I drew this. Two things. 1. Soul Calibur doesn’t get enough fan art. 2. I thought it would be cool to reimagine Taki as a modern day ninja fighting evil eyeball swords on the subway.
GOSH! Taki is so freaking badass! And Soul Edge extending its branch and turning into a massive growing tree is very impressive! Very good illustration of the evil sword's influence.
