The reason why if your white boyfriend or husband is gunned down by police and nobody seem to care is because the media simply does not want anyone to care. White people historically have been made to feel a sense of comfort when living in this country. Black people not so much. So when a white person is killed by police they know that white people in general are not going to care or march in the streets and hold protest about how whites are gunned down at high percentages compared to everyone else. But if a black person is they know that it wlil stir up emotions amongst blacks because of our history in this country. That is why people came up #BLM. It is severely obvious that all lives matter but society doesn't exactly reflect that. So they only put the videos of blacks being killed on tv and blast it for the next month and a half so they can create news stories surrounding it.

Yeah and those who did post the video or run a photo were MERCILESSLY dogged and attacked and even berated for daring to show it. Yet how many times do we see the same video of black people being murdered in just one news segment? Ever notice how the whole time they just replay the video over and over and over for three minutes? So we see those videos literally hundreds of times. But white death is out of bounds.

Whole Foods tweeted about collard greens — and Twitter wasn’t pleased

On Thursday, Whole Foods suggested to its almost 5 million followers they start cooking collard greens, with a puzzling image choice. Twitter had a few words (and a lot of memes) for Whole Foods, about not only the perhaps “gentrification” of collard greens — but what they put in it.

I’m not sure about this one. Black people can’t claim ownership of a vegetable. 

If you wanna make fun of them because it looks nasty, that’s one thing. But telling them to stay away from greens and all that is a little too far IMO.

Its not so much claiming ownership as it is understanding what happens to cultural byproducts when they get accosted by the white mainstream especially concerning price. It always happens with food that is seen as an outlier.
