THAT looks like a cavern worth exploring
I built an anvil in my cave and repaired my enchanted bow. It’s got the Infinity and Power III enchantments on it. I’m looking forward to taking out mobs from a distance without worrying about crafting lots of arrows.
Where water meets lava deep underground in Minecraft. Well at least I know where to go once I craft my Diamond pick axe and need to mine some obsidian!
I found three turtles lounging around on a sandy island near my cave house. I’m going to try to breed them with sea grass because baby turtles drop scutes. If I can collect 5 scutes then I can craft a Turtle Shell, which is a helmet that makes it easier to breathe underwater. And I need to be able to breathe underwater to dig up the buried treasure from the map I found in that sunken ship nearby.
Turtle love! After feeding them both some sea grass, they got into the mood.
One of the turtles climbed up onto the sand and left a little turtle egg. Now I just need to wait for it to hatch. I also need to get some more loving going with these turtles, because I’m going to need 5 scutes to make my helmet and they only drop when a baby turtle turns into an adult.
An island dotted with flowers. Lots of flowers everywhere!
Isn’t it a pretty island? I might think about relocating from my dark cave to here. This would be a really nice place for a simple woodland home.
When I arrived back to my cave, a wandering door-to-door salesman was waiting for me. These guys won’t leave me alone!
Here’s the map I found in the sunken ship. I’m the little white dot in the bottom left corner and the buried treasure is where the red X is next to that island. Because I’m “off the map” I need to row my boat to the northeast a little.
And after a bit of rowing, here I am. Closing in. The only problem is the X is over water, which means I’m going to probably have to “dive and dig” to find the buried treasure and that takes a lot of time.
I spotted three masts sticking out of the water in the distance, so I went to investigate. It was a full sunken ship, submerged in the water near my island.
Sunken ships in Minecraft mean treasure and I found several chests on the ship!
This picture is dark and hard to see but this is one of the treasure chests I found on the ship. I had to do a lot of trips up and down because I don’t have any underwater breathing help yet. I’m going to try to breed some turtles to put together a turtle shell helmet for better underwater breathing.
I also found a buried treasure map in one of the chests but more on that later!
I returned to the village I discovered earlier. I like how this village has guard dogs instead of an iron golem. There were a few unopened buildings and I found a chest in one, but it only had paper and blank maps. No treasure to steal here!
Relaxing under the shade of a tree on a lazy Minecraft afternoon and doing a little fishing..
Good morning, Minecraft! The sun is rising and it’s time to go hunt zombies. I’m hopeful that I’ll find some spiders as well, because I need string to make a bow.
It’s a new day in Minecraft and I decided to venture out beyond my cave. I found a village close by. Let’s explore and see what I can steal!
I decided to try my luck with fishing. I assembled a fishing rod with 3 sticks and 2 pieces of string. The string came from spiders that I killed in the night. I spent a while fishing and caught a bunch of different fish (raw cod, raw salmon, pufferfish) and some assorted junk.
I also crafted a smoker so that I can cook food faster. The smoker cooks food twice as fast as a regular furnace.
Dinner is almost ready!
My little cave in Minecraft has become an Animal House.
I stumbled upon some cows and sheep, enjoying their day in a sunny meadow overlooking some glaciers in the ocean. I’m going to lure them back to my cave, breed them, and then slaughter them for food. Hey, a hungry Minecrafter has got to eat!
The rain is spoiling my plans for the day!
I now have two chickens tamed and hanging out in my cave. This guy loves the little cubby hole I made in the wall.
I fed the chickens some wheat seeds. They made little hearts and fell in love.
Now I have three chickens.
