It was a massacre, fellow Serpents ripping off the flesh of their comrades through hands and teeth, morality was nonexistent and instincts took over as dullness and the growing meaningless of our lives were overtaking."
Craius the officer of the Anacondrai military during the Serpentine War, the youngest recruited Serpent in a demanding rank and second survivor of the Anacondrai Tomb, forever scarred by decades of psychological horror and the lowering of his self-esteem as an officer, questioning his abilities to hold the responsibility of maintaining the wellbeing of his comrades who had befallen to the mortality of life.
The leucistic Anacondrai was already brought into the privileged life of the Ollopa family, a renowned noble house for their political and militaristic influences through the history of the Serpentines civilisation. Craius was born weak and early as the adults were giving up on him as he wasn't able to hatch early yet by miracles he survived and this was a spiritual message to his parents, already setting up high standards for the hatchling and giving excessive care and attention than his siblings will ever receive. With the influence of his family and the private education he received, he was already onset to the arts of the Army, adding immense pressure and expectations on a boy who was just lucky until he wasn't.
"I was raised to believe that I was a prodigy, a natural talent, but I soon realised that I was the opposite of that, the action to accept reality was too much for my delusional mind of a golden child. I wasn't presenting glory, I was presenting false hope to those unfortunate enough to put the trust of their lives on a Serpent who just hatched into adulthood."
Craius has the obvious features of an Anacondrai but his neck is much shorter and his head more round and smaller, he also lacks the tall height, emphasising his early hatch that complicated his appearance that many of his Anacondrai peers would tease about, as he didn't possess the known physique of Anacondrais being intimidating and strong.
Since he's leucistic I of course gave him white scales and blue eyes as common for snakes who are leucistic but it's a purposeful design choice to symbolise him as the "beaming light of hope" for his family, Serpents around him who expect him to become greater and the army, yet looks are deceiving and Craius wasn't a prodigy, although he is educated and not a fool, he lacks the experience and reality check of the realities of war, he daydreams too much, a consistent dreamer who was nicknamed the "Dreaming Officer" and he was set to the rank of an officer way too early.
