Transphobia is about to be signed into law in the UK. We can fight this.

I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.

The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.

Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.

A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:

Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.

Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.

Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns

Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.

I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.

It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:

Worried about what to say? Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. You will also get guidance and brochures from Trans Solidarity Alliance that outlines our demands. This is mine from last year.

Money issues? Trans Solidarity Alliance provides a travel bursary that you can sign up for via the link.

Got a refusal or no response from your MP?  Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if they’re already in Parliament. Even if they don’t, they’re made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.

Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:

Organisations can’t provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination. e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, men’s rugby group including trans men (12.68).

Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee. If you’re a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from women’s bathrooms if you’re perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a ‘third space’ bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)

Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).  A women’s only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).

Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ‘lesbian’, and therefore no longer have legal protections if they’re discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).

Heyy it's me. As usual, I'm horrible at maintaining an online presence ^^; but thank you to the new and old peeps that stick around haha...

Green Diamond has a collection of trees and plants from the multiple planets under his control. Whether they are trophies or relics of history, Lazulite wasn't sure. They mostly resemble Green Diamond's complexion, but the ones that deviates grab his attention. Lazulite can't help himself but be enamored by Green Diamond.

This comic is a bit old. It's been collecting dust in my files, and I thought it was nearly complete to share it. Ik I struggled with the arrangement of words cuz I sometimes just draw the thing and then add the words after lol. I wanted to share a bit of lore and an interaction between the two. While Green Diamond doesn't think plants are valuable, he still collects and maintain them. He's compelled by them, unbeknownst to why. Green Diamond shares the garden with Lazulite and welcomes him to visit anytime. Lazulite suggests that Green Diamond tend the plants himself and learn about them if he's interested in them. Green Diamond simply snickers at the thought, unable to imagine himself caring for such things, but later he considers it as he thinks Lazulite would like that.

I must add that this is "early in the story" in which Green Diamond is getting used to having Lazulite in his hands (vice versa for Lazulite). But this moment was when Green Diamond remembered that Lazulite has a different perspective than him, hence he offers his hand.

This isn't Greta Thunberg’s fault, she couldn’t have been a better ally, but it’s so disheartening how her kidnapping and mistreatment for five days have rallied so many people, when what she went through is only a fraction of a fraction of what thousands of Palestinian men, women, girls, and boys, who have been routinely kidnapped, tortured, and raped to unimaginably evil lengths for months or even years, often to the point of death, have endured and are still enduring as we speak.

And I know that’s the whole point of why she did what she did. She knew that, as a young high-profile white European girl, her mistreatment would result in more uproar, and she intended to use that privilege to raise awareness of what is happening to Palestinians. That’s why the first thing she did after her release, when the press asked her to speak in detail about her own mistreatment, was to shift the conversation instead to how Israel continues to escalate its genocide against Palestinians.

I just wish people understood her message and gave the same energy toward helping Palestinians without waiting for a White Westerner to risk their life first.

So, the story I have so far is that Justin is this scientist dude and he was rejected by this prestige science institution. They declare he didn't reach their expectations and prob carried big loser energy which has Justin outraged. He swore that he would get his revenge and prove them wrong. He devised a plan in creating an indestructible being with immense strength and power, using it to threaten the institution and the counsel who rejected him. He spent his time as a hermit, fixed on his project and wallowing in his anger and vengeance. He eventually complete his project, creating the perfect being, Lawrence. Uh oh but little did he know that Lawrence has a big heart and is filled with love and compassion. Justin is deterred by this and believes there must have been a mistake in his paper work. As he reevaluates his mistakes and conjures a new plan to rework Lawrence, he decides to show Lawrence his purpose of existence.

It's really telling that no one on the yt ass app has talked about how ICE has just been given more power to abuse the latine and immigrant community. I know it's all been "charlie kirk this, charlie kirk that" but that doesn't detract from that fact that on Monday, September 8th the supreme court ruled that ice can detain based solely on having brown skin or "looking latine," speaking Spanish or speaking English with an accent, being present at locations that have migrant workers, or the type of work they have.

When this news broke my dad told me and my siblings, all of us who are US Citizens, born and raised in the US, that we have to carry some form of official documentation on us, especially because we live in a city that has been heavily targeted by the Trump administration for being a sanctuary city. My grandmother was staying with us and even though she is my non-latine grandmother, and she's a US citizen, my dad and aunt made the decision to have my dad drive her back home to New Jersey because she has an accent and her documents are back home.

As someone who is latine and south asian, I need you to know that this will not just affect latine people! My non-latine cousin was pulled over by ice about two weeks ago just for being brown! However this will disproportionately affect latine people. Just today ICE was seen on the street by my home and my work! One of my duties at work is to make sure that ICE does not come into our elementary school because we're a predominantly latine school. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE ICE DOES NOT KIDNAP 5 YEAR OLDS. That is the reality of the situation.

I want it to be known that I have been scared before because I'm living as a person of color in the United States. I have been scared before because of being a south asian born post 9/11. I have been scared before being a latina growing up during the Dreamer movement, despite being a citizen. However, before this week I have never been scared enough to feel the need to carry documentation proving I am a citizen of the damn country I was born in! Now I feel that scared though. Especially because a few months ago, for the first time in my life, someone assumed I didn't speak English. Another person of color assumed I didn't speak English and shit talked me in the CVS aisle because they assumed I didn't speak English. And then a week ago I also got mistaken for not speaking English when I went to the doctor's office and chatted with the receptionist in Spanish and then was handed Spanish paperwork to fill out.

Anyways, the point is the fact that I have seen maybe two? three? posts about this on here is upsetting and immensely telling. Speak up. Talk about the fact that this is happening because it will not stop with targeting latines. It will become worse. It already is because the government is going to punish immigrants for "making light of" charlie kirk's death. Not for celebrating, or joking, for making light of.

This silence is astounding. It's not surprising, but it is just astounding to see how little y'all truly care about brown people and immigrants.

I'm a lil late to this but happy 3rd anniversary Splatoon 3! And happy one year anniversary to the Grand Fest! In typical fashion, I redesigned my ocs fits. They came out great!! I feel like these are more concise and matches their personality way better than last year xD Imma ramble more about the details of their fits so feel free to read on!

^^^Here's my drawing from last year as reference.

For Yim's fit (pronounced as Yee; the octo with the orange/blue eyes and baggy pants), I still wanted his design to be bottom heavy so this time I got rid of the jacket and built upon the pants! He's now rocking boots to help with his silhouette and chain cuff earrings cuz they're cool and fun to wear! I really love the pops of silver on his design. I wanted him to have leopard print on his hair cuz first of all, its fun and second, I still had gyaru on the mind from making gyaru themed adopts lol.

For Nautily (the fem octo with large pink tentacles), she remained relatively the same with the new addition of her new pearls, ruffled skirt and socks. If imma be real, the miniskirt of her first design was err alright but it kinda makes me 😬. So I changed it to a ruffled skirt and it adds onto the fun, bouncy design of her sleeves! Her socks were added to help elongate the look of her shoes and so she wouldn't have too much skin showingg. I thought that the pearls were a fun addition since I didn't want do earrings again and I wanted something to be on her hair. The pearls also elevate her skirt, acting as a belt. This time, the pattern on her hair is squiggles, reminiscent of brain coral! It was gonna be zebra stripes but I couldn't get it to look nice xD.

Its a small thing, but both Yim and Nautily are posing similiarly to the idol groups that they stan! Yim would vote Team Future and Nautily would vote Team Present. The sketch of them holding the plushies is literally the cutest thing ever!! I couldn't capture the essence of the plushies when drawing them so I just used crunchy pngs I found xD About the overall drawing, I'm quite happy with how I drew them similar to the official Splatoon artstyle! I'm still experimenting and trying to add my own twist to it, but for now, I'm happy with it! My drawing from last year is a lot closer to my own artstyle than the Splatoon one and I kinda wanna do more of that. Uhh I think that's about everything I wanted to say so thanks for reading this far :>
