ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
I noticed there isn’t one here for Ireland, so
Irish free suicide helpline: 01-116 123
last time i reblogged this, i got this ask:
so please, please reblog. this could actually save a life.
A Witch’s Parable
I lit the Goddess candle at the center of my altar (as witches do). Once— a small blue flame, uncertain in the current of midnight May, from my open window.
Turning to my books, I left the Goddess flame to tend herself (as candles do).
When next I turned back to admire her— Gone! Was the Goddess flame.
This was the time to rethink my course of action.
Instead, I relit the candle. Twice— a small blue flame.
“Maybe the wax is drowning the wick,” I thought and did nothing (as idle thinkers do).
As doubtless as the midnight— not the May, who turns between winter and summer on a whim —the flame went out.
But even the May does learn, year after year, which way to turn.
I faced the candle rather than the match.
I excavated the wick, first with fingernails, then the matchstick (its foot, not its head). I encountered crisp black waves in the wax which I couldn’t seem to break—
Oh! Oh. Plastic.
The trouble was plain— a Goddess candle, half-unwrapped and melted to a standstill.
Thrice— I lit my Goddess candle. Its flame glowed orange and strong within the current of midnight May.
The thrice-lit candle holds lessons (as parables do):
The philosophical: when you cannot seem to light your endeavors and keep them lit, check that you have not hindered your own way.
The practical: Do not leave your Goddess flame unattended.
And the plastic: unwrap it from your candle (all the way, this time).
I don't think I've said it on this blog before but
I encourage every witch doing spells for the blm movement but here's the thing
If you have other means, don't just do a spell. Donate. Do something. It's nice that you're casting a spell for the cause but that's not enough. I have reblogged a post already on how you can help with donations when you don't have money to donate. But I will also reblog actual ways how you can donate.
Do protection spells, do hexes, make sigils, pray, whatever it is that you want to do to help the protesters. BUT BE MINDFUL. Whether its a protection spell or a hex, you should know what you're doing. And stay safe.
Please don’t just do spells. You’ve gotta mix your magic with action.
Donate. Protest. Educate. Support a Black-owned business.
Don’t let the lighting of that candle be the only thing you do.
About Tomorrow
Guys, please be careful with the wording of your spells, okay? I know everyone wants to help as much as possible and it’s great that so many witches are combining to cast spells for the BLM movement, but please go over your wording / intentions. Usually, stuff like this is organized, like “bring rain to Australia” or “hex Trump” spells. There is ONE goal or intention. This is a clusterfuck, to put it nicely. I’m seeing curses against Trump, curses against police, healing spells, “wake up” spells, spells to add energy to the cause. The issue is all these spells can either unite, or fight each other. For example, your “America needs to heal” spell will not go well with my “This country needs to be destroyed so we can rebuild”. “Sending love to everyone’s heart” will not go well with “Give energy to this cause!” Please, sit down and think over your spells. You might need to make them more specific, or more vague so you don’t step on anyone else’s toes. The last thing we need is all of our spells canceling each other out instead of doing anything.
Just a reminder that I’m an Adult™ and if that makes you feel uncomfortable feel free to:
unfollow me
ask me to unfollow you
block me
I won’t get mad or anything. It’s important to make sure you feel comfortable and secure.
Please! I try not to follow younger people on Tumblr to begin with, but please know that if I followed your page not knowing your age because I didn’t see it and you don’t want me follow you I will absolutely respect that!
Upcycled Libation Jar
As I continue my research into Hellenic practices & worship, I knew I wanted to start making libations to Apollo.
Libation- an offering of liquid to a deity, accompanied by prayers. In ancient Greece, this was a daily ritual. Common offerings were wine, water, honey, & oil.
Being a broke creative witch, I rescued a jar of pasta sauce that was going to be thrown away & transformed it into an offering vessel.
The process:
Jar was cleaned with soap & water to remove any lingering tomato sauce/smell
Label and sticky residue was removed from the outside of the jar with 100% acetone nail polish remover. (It doesn't have to be 100% acetone, that's just what I have on hand)
Jar was "cleaned" a second time, using a mixture of salt, water from the last full moon, dried rosemary & bay leaves. This was to spiritually purify the jar, marking it as a ritual object instead of a container for budget spaghetti sauce.
To further dedicate it, I painted the lid metallic gold and added champagne colored glitter, because I associate sparkly things with Apollo. I also added one of his symbols, a lyre, to the inside of the lid.
Finished product:
I set it on my windowsill so the libation could be made in view of the sun. When I offer water, I plan to use it to care for my sunflower seedlings (next to the jar), since the sunflower is also connected with Apollo.
Day by day, my practice with Apollo is developing. This jar is the first addition to my new altar that is designed specifically for him. I can't have a full altar set up since I'm living at my parent's home right now, but I love the process of designing and developing it.
If any of you have altars to the Theoi, or specific objects you've DIY'ed as part of your practice, I'd love to see them.
Brightest of blessings, fellow witches! -Kate
Any designs with witchy vibes?
long overdue witchy post, more witchy designs on the way!
So, I made some mini meringues today, and I wanted to share the recipe I used. I flavored them with peppermint and cinnamon, but please experiment with what ever you like, or just leave them plain!
Besides the fact that peppermint and cinnamon both taste amazing, I chose these flavors for another reason. Both of them have different magick abilities that I wanted to use.
The cinnamon is typically very good for protection, warmth, and just overall a safe feeling. It is considered a spice under the element of fire. After all, when most people think of cinnamon they probably imagine a warm drink or baked goods. Simply comfort and coziness.
And peppermint is typically used for clearing the air and freshening up energy. It is also used for revitalization. Peppermint is considered to be under the element of air, and it's one of my favorite flavors.
Now, onto the recipe if you're still with me.
Ingredients:
2 egg whites at room temperature
1/2 cup of sugar
1-2 drops of food coloring (optional)
1-2 drops of flavoring like peppermint or vanilla or whatever else you want (optional)
IMPORTANT: Do. Not. Use. Essential. Oils. For. Flavoring. They're not actually supposed to be ingested and even a little can make you feel sick. Instead, make sure you use extracts. You can typically find them in the baking section of your local grocery store. That's where I got my peppermint flavoring.
Anyway, onto the Instructions:
Step 1.) Preheat your oven to about 170 degrees Fahrenheit
Step 2.) Beat the egg whites until soft peaks begin to form. This simply means that when you pull the whisk away there will be a tiny droopy peak sticking up. Make sure to stir your mixture clockwise as this will help bring positivity and good vibes into your cooking.
Step 3.) Slowly add the sugar a spoonful at a time and mix into the egg whites. Keep mixing until it turns glossy and the sugar is completely dissolved. An easy way to tell is to drip a little bit onto your finger and rub them together, if it's grainy, keep mixing, if it's smooth, move onto to step 3!
Step 4.) Carefully fold in your coloring and/or flavorings. Do not overmix at this step because you don't want to get rid of the air you just beat into the eggs!
Step 5.) Spoon your mixture into a piping bag or a ziplock bag and then pipe little dots onto a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat. They can be close together because they don't spread that much when baking.
Step 6.) Put your cookie sheet into the oven preferably on the bottom rack, and let bake for about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can tell when they're done when you poke them and they don't stick to your finger and they have a little firmness, don't worry if they're still soft, they will harden more as they cool.
Step 7.) Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. They should be light and crunchy, but melt in your mouth.
Step 8.) Store them in a dry airtight container otherwise your meringues will go soft and won't last very long.
Whew sorry that was kinda long, but I hope you'll try out this recipe! And if you do, I'd love to see how to change it up and make it your own!
Here's a little alter I made in ACNH since I don't have the space to make an alter in my real house.

Homemade mini broomstick/besom
I’m super happy with how this one turned out, it’s about 8cm long, so it’s easy to hide for closet witches! (Alternatively if someone finds it, say it’s a decoration for a tv show)
Be warned, it’s a bit messy, the twine strands get everywhere so do it over a bench that can be easily cleaned (unlike me who made it on my bed haha).
Feel free to ask if you have any questions!
What you need:
Twine
Twig (your choose of wood)
Scissors
Super glue
What to do:
Find a tree with a fallen twig, or ask the spirit of the tree for permission to take a twig (you’ll get a positive feeling if it’s a yes)
Remove the bark from the twig with the blade of scissors
Cut about 10 cm of twine and pull the strands apart until they look bushy
Cut the twine strands to whatever size you like and stack them
Wrap the twine around the twig and tie it with another piece of twine
Add super glue around the base to ensure the twine stays in place
Trim the twine so it looks neat
Optional:
You can use a twig from your garden, a bush land near you, or you could buy wood from a place like Bunnings if you want a certain type
You can pick a wood type based off your Zodiac sign, which you can find online

Here’s the explanation for this spell for fellow baby witches
Traditionally, a besom is made using ash for the handle and bitch twigs for the brush
Mini besoms can be used to purify spaces to prepare for spellwork, or to cleanse spaces after spellwork, sweeping away negative energy.
It could also be used as a protective implement by laying it under your bed, across a windowsill or above the front door of your property.
Getting a new follower and finding out they’re a terf is kind of like getting a new follower only to realize it’s a porn bot, but a thousand times worse.
Porn bots don’t give a fuck about my content or who I am, but this terf actually scrolled through my blog and thought, “yes, this is a person whose opinions I’d like to see more of.” It makes me feel super fucking gross and that I’m probably not doing enough to support trans women.
So just for the record: trans women are women. The existence of trans women does not detract from my womanhood or the womanhood of anybody else. This is not a blog for people who believe otherwise. Take your transphobia elsewhere.
And, to my followers: please help me stay accountable. If I reblog something that marginalizes trans people (or sex workers or POC or anyone else), please let me know so that I can make amends.
PSA if you’re a terf and you follow me please just … don’t. Thanks.
May your next period be light and end quickly
This is literally now my favorite post ever, because its become thousands of reblogs consisting of passing on good fortune. Meanwhile many of y’all added your own comments saying your thanks, and continuing the chain by adding your own little bit of wishful thinking. You are all wonderful.
may you not leak even once
NOT EVEN when you sneeze or cough!
may you always have what you need when you need it.
May you have no cramps.
May you have no headaches
may you start in your own home/somewhere you are comfortable, in your least favourite underwear and with plenty of pads/tampons on hand
May you have no backpains or stiff limbs either
May you not be due around exam seasons, or if you, may you be fortunate enough to not start during any exams. (It’s exam season for me, specificaly mock exams, and I fortunately started at home)
I’ve never ONCE seen one of these and not being just like…absolutely riddled with tension, so. Keep passing them around, I guess!
Same tho
Not to offer advice nobody asked for but fixing ur sleep schedule is life changing
Things that actually work if u try at them:
Drinking water
No longer making self deprecating jokes
Making sure to take time out of the day to relax and take a breather
Lighting candles
Counting ur breaths in and out if ur having a panic attack
Getting up and trying to do one thing even if u can’t do everything maybe brushing ur teeth but not having the energy to shower
