Reblog with the first three names you see! from ml.books
So this dumb fuck @help–me–out reblogged my post and added the tags above. Yes, WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING, s/he virtue signals this load of crap. Here are some of the women authors in the puzzle: Bronte, Lahiri, Dickenson, Cisneros, Spark, Gaskell, Larsen, Butler, Stein, McCullers, Woolf, Eliot, Du Maurier, O’Connor, Walker, Ogawa, Didion, Le Guin, Hurston, Christie, Allende, Krauss, Morrison, Lispector, and yes, Austen. Those are SOME of the women. You lazy fuck. NOW who should try harder, asshole?
when reality feels off
- leaving the theater after watching a movie
- looking up from reading a book and realizing where you are
- any place that’s open 24 hours (bonus: going to said place in the early hours and hearing both “good evening” and “good morning”)
- playgrounds at night
- arriving for an early morning flight and seeing a deserted airport with most of the shops closed
- dead malls with decor that hasn’t changed since the 90s
- motels of any kind
- stopping at a gas station at night in the middle of nowhere while on a road trip
- grocery stores in small towns
- places meant for children’s birthday parties (especially if you went there as a kid and are now older)
- little doors and attics in your house
Don’t say anything, just reblog

Yeah, it’s great that he got a ‘happy ending’ with someone who was so jealous and possessive of him after barely knowing him that she TRIED TO SHOOT HIM when he was kissed by another woman while he was single, and he didn’t immediately push the other woman away. (Not to mention what happened in Agent Carter.) We should really be hyping up that kind of relationship more.
Not gonna specifically tag anyone...but reblog if you feel like it and put yours in the tags.
Create a post-election safety plan for the upcoming 2020 Presidental Election.

This is another example how dangerous and sad the US has become. Go vote blue and save the US and the world.
It’s so horrible that all of above even needs to be said. Nevertheless, it must be. To all my American followers, stay safe tomorrow when you go out to vote, alright? All the best from Down Under.
Biden has to win by a landslide. This can’t be a close call, if the results are close enough the Supreme Court can give him the election and he can contest. I can’t stress enough how important voting is. Biden needs to win overwhelmingly. The Supreme Court is now controlled by republicans and they will push in his favor for another term if the results are close enough. So not only would we have a republican/conservative president, our Supreme Court will also have these conservative views. These are the people that will be controlling our healthcare, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, gun control.
Understand what this means.
GO FUCKING VOTE!!
if anyone thinks this is an exaggeration, this literally happened 20 years ago. the supreme court handed al gore's victory to george w bush if a few hundred people in one state (florida) had voted for al gore instead of ralph nader, the court wouldn't have been asked to rule on it at all, al would have won vote, and vote for biden
I think I am officially Fandom Old. I am so worn out from the arguments on who’s the top or the bottom (who cares), what is allowed to be written (anything you want, bejeebus), what is Problematic (I know, just tag it), what other people Should Do (they Should live their lives free of judgment). There isn’t a Right Way to do things. Tag your stuff appropriately, don’t read stuff you don’t want to read, and leave other people (me) alone.
Just wondering
People do know that if they don’t like something, they don’t have to watch it, right, and other people are allowed to watch it and even look forward to it? I wouldn’t bother watching a movie like Human Centipede...just one example, not all the movies I have zero interest in are so extreme...but I don’t give a fuck if other people like it or would look forward to seeing a new one, unless they try to push their opinion about it on me.
I didn't know bucket toothpaste was only a thing here!
WAIT! How do people in other countries put toothpaste on their toothbrushes??? You d-don't use your toothpaste spoon????
You keep your toothpaste in condiment tubes???
Is croatia trolling us what the fuck
...What the actual hell, Croatia?
hey with tr*mp abruptly announcing that they’re ending the census count on september 30, much earlier than originally planned (source, dated August 4, 2020), it’s vitally important that you get your census response in immediately. the census is used to determine how many seats your state gets in the house of representatives and also helps allocate federal funding for schools, roads, hospitals, and fire departments (source 1) (source 2).
it’s just a brief questionnaire, but it’s one of the most important things you can do to help your community right now. hundreds of millions of dollars are on the line, and some states are already poised to lose multiple seats in the house because of low response rates (source). it only takes a couple minutes, so please, consider taking a break and filling it out now!
This is now pretty much the last chance to do this!
And just to reiterate, from someone who has taken it: there are NO questions pertaining to immigrant status (or sexual orientation, if that is a concern.) Little more than name, address, and ethnicity.
I don’t know what to do.
Just found out my aunt who has cancer is in the hospital, and my uncle is there as well because he's got bleeding in his brain. I can't go down there because I can't ask my cousin to come get me at a time like this, and it's not as though I'd be allowed to see them, and I can't talk to my family here about it because they'll just keep demanding information that I don't have/can't get, and I don't feel like I can talk about it without breaking down. If you're the praying sort, can everyone who follows me pray or think good thoughts for my family, please?

“It’s my hope that, somehow or someway, young people, and even the not so young, will just be touched by something. Listening to Dr. King on the radio inspired me. Coming under the influence of Jim Lawson inspired me to think that I too could do something. You hear Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or meet him in person, or you hear Jim Lawson, you have a kind of executive session with yourself, and you say to yourself ‘John Lewis, you too can do something, you can make a contribution.’….So I hope that March will imbue people with something – the young, the very young, and those not so young, will be ready to go out there, and push and pull.”
Rep. John Lewis, February 21, 1940 - July 17, 2020
Rest in peace.
Rest in power.
