Hi! I know this ask is literally 17 days old, I just happened to change my theme to a redirection one. But the blackboards are by aroundthesims as part of their school set, and can be found HERE.

I’m going to break this cursed hiatus soon (the result of like......a million and one different things). But I’m finding the idea of coming back to this blog a lil bit daunting. so I did the only logical thing and made a totally new account?? I reallyyy need a fresh start sooooo...... missed this neighborhood :D im slowly but surely recovering it from an incompatible cc folder. all the residents had horrible appearances and (possibly) botched genetics…finished fixing that two days ago and now im just redecorating the hood and saving the lots from the invasion of the proxies and missing meshes. residents are getting new homes soon

controversial onion (I’m nothing if not a masochist) but no cc should ever be permanently locked behind a paywall bc uhh it’s literally against EA’s tou for cc to be behind a paywall for longer than 2 weeks

and here’s the mega controversial onion: no converted content from another game in the franchise should be put behind a paywall ever bc u literally did not make the item at all

Something in the same vein that has been bugging me is the lack of proper crediting. You have people posting conversions of another creator’s original work without even naming them, yet alone linking back to the original upload. “Source: the Sims 2/3/4″ isn’t proper attribution of a third-party’s CC.

This is something I’ve been seeing even amongst ts2 people, too. Like, come on guys, it’s really not cool. Please take an extra minute to credit properly when you share this stuff.

Hey, you know what, some of us (read: IT ME) have a lot of CC going on, often things that have been sitting around for literally years if not an entire decade, thinking of working on the thing.

If you notice someone (ALSO: IT ME) missing someone in their tags/credits or missing a link that’s still available somewhere that’s reasonably “up” most of the time, PLEASE PM them & let them know where to find the original. The vast majority of CC creators for TS2 that I have ever interacted with, will edit the post &/or reblog it with relevant info as reasonable.

Let’s please not demonize ignorance of the origin of a file that in some cases may be 15+ years old by presuming that the exclusion is malice. Instead, let’s support & educate our fellow creators as best as we can. Crowdsource our knowledge so that we CAN do links back.

My name is Declan. I am a trans ftm guy and this account isnt active but I cant bring myself to delete it. I met some really good and amazing people while I used tumblr. I had lots of accounts, which I'll list below. They wont be active anymore and I'm saying this so you wont be disappointed.

Life, for a long time, has been busy. I barely work on anything outside of my day job, and all of my hobbies have been unimportant lately. My YouTube channel is suffering because I don’t update or work on it, and this blog makes me feel like I have even more to do (even though I don’t work on it anymore). My twitch channel was suffering for a while there too and I'm trying my best to make it in this world.

All cc from me will be left untouched so you can still download it!

I used to love tumblr but it lost it's magic for me a long time ago. I tried to get back into it and I just couldn't, even with new accounts.

with Photobucket’s new terms of service in place, it has basically rendered all old cc previews useless. however, I went and did some searching and I found a solution right off the bat!
