I’ve been trying to nap basically all day, but these kids outside just will nooooot shush. I don’t even know what they’re talking about! There’s mostly just like calling each other weird names, and one keeps saying: “just pleaaasee listen to me!” And I wanna be nice, but I also wanna be like.. ummm… can you guys just… shhhh for one second? And now I just feel like a grumpy grandma.

As much as I think kids should have each and every opportunity to play to their heart’s content, in this case, I’d have to say grump grandma status is completely called for.

I hope you all enjoyed that nice little reprieve from me, but that’s over and it’s time to come back to reality. Just in case you needed a reminder of how privileged and selfish you are, I’ve spent the past three weeks taking time away from the Internet so that I could spend more time working on my charity. Now I’m back, but only to tell you that I’m hosting an event next weekend and it’ll look great for all of your “humanitarian” cards if you show up. You’re so welcome.

I think everybody’s humanitarian cards could be made better with a few extra punches. I'd love to be there. Is it okay if I ask what kind of event it is?

Well, after taking an extra-long Spring break in Boston with my fiance, it’s sad to be back. Although I’m eager to be back at college and ready to complete the school year, I will say it was nice catching up with the Church back in Massachusetts and host a fundraiser alongside Andrew in the short time I was there. Still, I’m back now and am ready to finish junior year.

Having to leave loved ones after a break spent with them is never fun, but I do hope you had a nice time while it lasted. And for what it's worth, summer break is only a few weeks away.

I’ve just untucked my head from my blankets because I’ve finally just finished binging 13 Reasons Why. Admittedly, I should’ve been doing my homework instead.. But when a series hooks you, it really does hook you. Not only was it good, but it was so sad. So now I’m just going to be walking around with a sad look on my face and thinking: “Hannah Baker deserved better.” I don’t know why I do these kind of things to myself.

I swear, all of the people in my classes are raving about that show and I’ve still not had a chance to sit down and watch it. I think I will most definitely need to fit it into my calendar this weekend, if it’s as good as everyone says.

After getting sent back to my dorm from ballet, I’m currently sitting here and wondering where can I find a source of entertainment that doesn’t involve moving. Y’know how hard it is to sit still? I literally dance everywhere I go. I’m just glad they didn’t call an ambulance or something– that would have been awkward.

Oh my goodness, are you okay? I only ask because you mentioned an ambulance, are you feeling better now? Regarding entertainment though, if you’re not a fan of sitting still, you could always do something mentally stimulating. If that’s not too nerdy a suggestion.

I expected this Spring break to suck, I really did, but it really took a turn for the better and ended up being the best break I’ve had. How was everyone else’s break.

My break was so incredibly nice that I actually contemplated staying in NYC a few extra days. I didn't, of course, but still. What did you do over break that was so wonderful?

Spring “Break” officially is over, and I’m grateful due to the fact that I won’t have to read everyone’s countless posts about how they’re on the beach in another country, surrounded by beautiful people that they’re constantly shagging. Now everyone can go back to their regular schedules of school and work, and I won’t have to continue being bitter and jealous like I was for almost ten days. That being said – I do hope that everyone had a great break regardless of my ill feelings towards the holiday. You’re free to gush about it to me now, if you’d like.

My break, although wonderful, was void of both of those things. That isn't to say I didn't love it, but New York this time of year isn't exactly known for its beautiful weather. I'm sorry it sounds like your break was less than ideal though. Summer is only a few weeks away, so hopefully that'll make up for it in abundance.

There is a good chance I might have just slept all weekend. I realize that made it go by faster, and I’m not exactly thrilled about classes starting, but I didn’t feel like doing absolutely anything else.

If you were able to sleep that long, then it's probably something you needed anyways. Besides, going from break and having to settle right back into classes is always a bit of a struggle and I'm sure your body appreciates being able to rest up beforehand.

That sounds amazing! My Spring Break was wonderful, but I don't think it can compare to an opportunity like that. Are you a makeup artist or something?

So, totally sorry for all but passing out yesterday when I got back… How was your time before I arrived? My trip was fun, don’t exactly remember Wednesday into Thursday, which is part of why I slept so much after getting back, but y’know, not a bad as things originally led me to believe it might be.

Oh, it is absolutely nothing to be sorry for. You needed your rest and that is always most important. It was good! I honestly didn’t do much other than meet some people for lunch and go around the city — the only bad thing was readjusting to New York weather but hey, at least it’s only temporary. Why didn’t you remember though, were you okay? I’m just glad it sounds like the break worked out better than you thought, that is always a huge plus.

I definitely hope I did. I don’t have a ton of details yet, other than that they said it’d be ‘hands-on experience and an opportunity to help expand our group’ but it’s with this non-profit here in LA, it’s called Safe Spaces and it’s all about helping improve child welfare and provide advocacy and resources that a lot of kids wouldn't otherwise be able to have.

Honestly, the chance is pretty high, if anyone wants me to. It is, yes! I'm a social work major who wants to work with kids, especially ones in the foster system which is a large percent of what this group focuses on, so it’s definitely right up my alley. And getting to go to New York afterwards just made it even better. Are you have a nice break?

I’m sure it looks awesome, though. And like you said, you can cover if it you have to. What is it? I have one on my ribs, so that’s pretty easy to keep hidden. I have that same hope, but I guess we’ll see if pictures of some girl with a “Hallie Holliday inspired facial tattoo” pop up online over the next few days.

It’s pretty simple, so I don’t know that many people would find it awesome since it isn’t much, but it’s the date I was adopted. So I think it’s awesome, at least. Rib tattoos always look so pretty in my opinion, but I’ve heard it hurts a lot. If it does, was it worth it? The tattoo and the pain, I mean.
