I’m going paddleboarding this weekend and I invited 4 of my friends. 3 of them bailed and one of them still hasn’t answered. Guess what bitch is still going paddleboarding even if it means going alone?

Moral of the story:

Stop waiting on other people to live your life

I literally spent a week at Disney World together. Went everywhere I wanted,took naps when I wanted, rode all the rides I wanted. Hell, I even took myself out to dinner. The waitstaff felt bad for me (except the one that made me cry because she called me fat) but I was happy to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. It’s nice having company, sure. But it’s nice having freedom and doing those things you want to do without anyone telling you otherwise.

Going to Paris early February, followed by New York next fall. Just booked when a severly depressed older woman suggested I do things while I was young because money comes back eventually but tim doesnt (causing an early life crisis).

I told my friends and its “omg why didnt you ask if i wanna come?!?!” They say that but I cant even get them to come on a 4 hour weekend trip to SF or 10 mins to the beach soo I just tell them to buy their ticket theres plenty of time—but guess who still got no guest list?🤷🏿‍♀️

Tbh company only works for me if i need someone to take my picture

I’m booking at ticket to Bali in March next year and I’m going alone but the only reason I don’t want to go alone is because there will be nobody to take pictures of me 😕😕

Hey so I travel extensively by myself to about a dozen states so far and 13 of the 15 countries abroad I’ve visited. I’m a fat black deaf woman so literally anyone can do it.

Invest in a selfie stick and a portable tripod for your phone with a Bluetooth remote. You can take incredible pictures with them.

Ask young people to take pictures of you. Millenial women aged 20 to 35 usually know how to help hit your angles. If you’re worried about it being stolen pick an older couple.

Stay in hostels. Hotels are boring and sterile. Staying in a hostel ensures you’re gonna meet people! It’s also way cheaper, usually has free activities, and can often be pretty nice. Its also almost a guaranteed way to make friends.

Do a free walking tour your first day in the morning. This gives you a general layout of the city and you can use your guide to ask questions. It’s how I found a beautiful beach to go to in Barcelona.
