(daniella/mireya) “I can’t trust you.”
These words coming from Mireya hit Daniella like a ton of bricks. She somewhat understood where she was coming from. Hell, had it been her she’d probably be the same way. However, it had been years since they had last seen each other and, in Dani’s opinion, it was water under the bridge. Looking at the Mexican, however, it seemed like she still had some unresolved feelings around the issue. “I don’t understand,…” she said, shaking her head. “We’re not lovers. We’re not really…anything at this point, I…” Searching for the right words, she frowned. “I don’t know what you want me to do.”

(mireya/olivia) ' Don’t leave me, okay? ’
“I won’t.” Did it scare Olivia how easily those words had left her? Yes. Truthfully, it terrified her. No one had ever been able to make her want to stay with them; no one but Mireya. She knew the woman was plagued by nightmares about Arturo, but this was the first time she was actually experiencing it. Having heard her scream, Olivia had quickly made her way into the guest bedroom, waking her up and just a moment later holding the petrified woman in her arms. Yes, they had gotten closer. Yes, they had kissed a few times. However, Olivia still wasn’t entirely sure what this was or where it was going. What she did know was that Mireya had managed to get under her skin in a way no one ever had. While at first she had only seen her as a means to an end and, Olivia had quickly started caring for the other woman, only really realizing when it had already been too late.
And now here she was, lying in Mireya’s bed next to her with absolutely no ulterior motive. All she wanted was to make sure the other woman was safe here with her, that nothing and no one could harm her here – not even Arturo. Gently she let her fingertips trail over her arms and her back, soothingly holding her against her without a word. If Mireya wanted to speak, she would, and then Olivia would let her get it all off her chest. “I won’t,” she repeated gently, pulling her just a little bit closer. She knew that she would have to take action soon to make sure Mireya was safe. Leroy and her had to plan their move, and seeing Mireya like this just made everything perfectly clear: It had to happen soon.

(mireya/olivia) ❝ not all good people are innocent. ❞
Mireya truly believed that, didn’t she? That she was still a good person? Olivia had lied and betrayed, she had cheated and had been violent, she had even gotten people hurt and killed, sometimes to teach a lesson, sometimes because they were an inconvenience to her. Sure, she had never actually killed anyone with her bare hands, but did Mireya truly believe that after everything she was still a good person? Olivia didn’t know what to say for a moment. There was a reason why she had stayed away from most people and why she had kept everyone at an arm’s length except for a few very select people.
“I’m… not a good person, Mireya,” she finally said, her voice calm but firm. “I’ve done things you wouldn’t even dare to think of. And I would do them again. Good people don’t do the things I did.” As much as she wanted to pretend she could be good for Mireya, deep down she knew it wasn’t entirely possible. “Maybe you should get used to that rather sooner than later.”

zelda-r:
Zelda’s heels clicked on the floor as she rushed forever, her purse hanging loosely off her shoulder, her hair windblown and her cheeks red with exertion. “Sorry, sorry,” she apologized, a smile coming to her face. “My middle name should be ‘Tardy’ these days, really. My last client kept me for quite a while.”
"I thought you weren’t coming again, so I already ate,” Mireya was lying, in an attempt to trick her friend. Thus far she has managed to keep an indifferent expression on her face. As for how long it would last; who knows. “Zelda Tardy Reed does have a nice ring to it,” she teased.
