Obsessed with that split second where his eyes widen like he isn't sure if he got her or not, and how it's followed by the most satisfied, most evil of evil Law grins ever grinned, like YES bitch get crushed! You can't even tell that moment of doubt is there at full speed, and that only makes it better.

I recommend saving the gif and going through it frame by frame just to appreciate the love that went into his eyebrow/nose wrinkles and that left cheek highlight. 10/10 anime moment. Makes me clap and cheer every time. E. 1066

I need to re-read One Piece soon, but here's a thing.

I think the biggest bit of unplanned foreshadowing of the series is in the Sabaody arc, and it's the fact that Law's first big appearance after his introduction is in the auction house.

It's foreshadowing because that auction house was under the jurisdiction of Doflamingo, and we know how strongly these two characters ended up being connected to each other.

It's unplanned because Law and all the other supernovas were a last minute add, created a couple of days before their debut chapter was published.

It's still a crazy coincidence to think about though. And it's also crazy to think that Smiles were name dropped right at this point.

Even though it was a rushed concept, I think Law and Doflamingo having some links was planned from the moment Law was created.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be something big but Oda wanted to create a pirate heavily referencing Doflamingo. That's why their reputations and jolly rogers are similar, their lanky builds, sets of earrings, and colorful aesthetics are similar, the ruthless-cheerful vibe in their early appearances resemble too.

Perhaps, Law was meant to be Doffy's 'trusted' spy who was slowly slipping out of his control. Or an ex-subordinate who really hated him. Basically, I think their beef is a thing as long as Law has existed.
