My little sapling, aren’t you far from home?
when you were a hatchling, your mother would always tell you that a dark path is a dangerous path.
you stop dead in your tracks on your way home. for all the times you’ve walked it, you know this path has never had a lantern.
Anyways, tundras. I love them.
Just wanted to try out tundra variants.
Personal headcanons!
Cloud/Sheep Tundras are mostly found in the Windswept Plateau
Walruses are mostly in the Southern Icefield, but some can be found near water territories
Elephant Tundras are a lot larger (and heavier) than an average Tundra
Kelpies primarily lives in swampy areas, but they can be found near any body of water
Poodles are just Tundras with a lot of treasure and time to style their fur
Boars would have to maintain their tusks to prevent it from growing through their skins
My favorite part of the canon lore is ignoring it completely.
Canon: THE SHADE! EMPERORS! TUNDRAS AS OBLIGATE VEGETARIANS!
Me: Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.
i know we all collectively associate tundras with dogs, but… consider bobcat/lynx tundra.
Random Player: Hi! My favorite breeds are–
G1 Collectors: Hello you peasant scum. I am a G1 collector. I have an IQ of over 160. Your dragons are NOTHING compared to my G1 Wildclaw from July 2014. You are nothing.
You forgot the other, even more obnoxious, side of the coin:
Random Player: -Owns a gen one-
“Unpopular Opinions” McEdgelord: Hot take, gen ones are overrated. They’re all so ugly and they’re so expensive. I am the only person on this website smart enough not to care about “generations” or “parents.” Something something purity cult. I am incapable of understanding that people could ever derive enjoyment from something that different than I do or have goals that are not the same as mine.
Did you know that Oct. 21 - 27 is Asexual Awareness Week?
Yannow I wonder, sometimes, if staff didn’t like. Accidentally draw themselves into a corner with Tundra.
Like, don’t get me wrong. I adore Tundra, I adore their floof and I adore their lore and I love everything about my scrappy forgetful underdog dragons. This is not a slight against them in the least.
I’m just saying, owning a Tundra is about learning to be forgiving. You have to forgive the way a lot of apparel just straight up doesn’t know how to work around the floof, in male poses its the mane and how capes and shirts and anything with collars that goes around the neck really gets warped and massive, in females, it’s chest and arm floof miraculously poking through the chests and sleeves of every single shirt bar the ugly tunics they released in 2013. Dressing many tundra is a fucking aesthetic nightmare and you just have to learn to work around it, or accept that there are going to be weird little inconsistencies between the base art and the apparel that other dragons don’t have to deal with.
It’s also about learning to accept that a lot of genes just fucking suck. They do. Again, I don’t think staff knows what to DO with all that fur, I don’t think they know how to make all these neat, exotic patterns work on fur or in fur patterns. On every other breed, the fur? The manes? It’s part of the secondary, easy peasy pumpkin squeezie, but on tundras? The fur is all over everything, and half of the wing is secretly the primary and on males, there’s a hidden second slice of secondary in the mane (which is mostly promary) that keeps getting perpetually forgotten, or maybe it’s just ignored because shit. Some of these patterns? Just don’t really work on that sliver. And tertiaries? Well, most of that’s Fine, unless it’s one of the Belly terts- Underbelly, Capsule, Glimmer- where most of the belly is covered by- you guessed it- fur, and therefore Barely Visible.
It’s such a crying shame, and it’s not something that can really be fixed without an entire rehaul of the lines or concept. It’s getting to the point where I will be Genuinely Surprised if we ever see another fluffy dragon, as much as I desperately want one, because I have the strong suspicion that working around the tundra fur is a goddamn nightmare and one they’re not gonna be keen on repeating.
‘Course, this is all Deep Speculation, I have no more insight into staff problems and mindset than anyone else, maybe people Love drawing on tundra but. Dammit there has to be a reason why they’re so critically shafted.
Plaguebringer without Plague would just look like a really normal dragon..I traced the lineart and then just removed all the plague death stuff, made the horn smaller (because her horn seemed overgrown) and this is what she turned out like. She looks kinda chill doesn’t she? I always kind of felt bad because it always looked like she was in a lot of pain.
I’m starting a gofundme to purchase antibiotics for the Plaguebringer.
oh, wait, what?
more orbs..?

Some Recolors:
im too dumb for any glimmer and gloom guides
I hope you don’t mind if I try, too?
This is all about hardmode bc I am used to that one
Phase 1: Row 1-3
If you want to clear row 1 you click in row 2 Clearing row 2 means clicking in row 3 Clearing row 3 means clicking in row 4 How? Clicking on corner stones in the clicking-row flips one stone in the row above, clicking on inner stones flips two of the above. Clean row by row and don’t care about what happens below Phase 2: Row 4
If you have an even number of stones that still have to be flipped, arrange them in pairs of 2 and flip them by using row 5 aus used to
If the number of th be flipped stones is uneven click every single stone in row 4 and then use step for even numbers in row 4
Phase 3: Row 5
If you have an even number of stones that have to be flipped, arrange them in pairs of 2 and flip them by using row 6 as used to
If you have an uneven number click every stone in row 2 and repeat all previous phases
Phase 4: Row 6
If you have an even number of to be flipped pieces you should be able to clear the puzzle
If you have an uneven number to be flipped, click all stones in row 3 and repeat previous phases.
I’m sorry for bugging if it doesn’t help but I thought I could give it a shot ^^
omg dude you have no idea how much this helps?? all the other guides i saw were super visual and i had a hard time following them, but this is perfect!!
Glad it helped someone ^^
oh heres a bonus “possibly actually a herbivorous arctic animal” tundra concept
i kept in some of that like LION aesthetic but i edged on the side of musk ox polar bear with a side of seals covered in hardcore deep FLUFF
Which venue is everyone finding all the crabs in? They elude me.
Everyone complaining about how only plant drops are increased during this harvest event. “Coatls, Spirals and Wildclaws etc don’t eat plants wtf am I supposed to do.”
Me who has a lair of mostly Tundras and plant eating dragons. “fuck yes fam.”
