Starting this year Artfight prep with some new character sheets!

For the last few months, I had a big project to redesign all four of my main characters. (Which was really hard, because even though I wasn't satisfied with the previous designs, I grew attached to them for some reason)

As always we are starting with Efa! I gave her some more colors (yellow!!), and also finally made a decent reference for her wings!

I am really proud of this one. It feels a little bit like a turning point, because it means that even if it takes two or three attempts, and even if it is not easy, I can create something, that actually expresses how much I love these silly little characters that live in my head!

Part 21 of drawing little sketches of characters from my WIP Little Fairies!!

Lately, I've been going through a bit of a slump. It's hard to draw consistently, but luckily, having something to draw that is easy and pre-planned like this really helps!

I remember that I said that I am interested in learning to work with gouache. I also remember that I said it a year ago, or something like that. So... It took me long enough.

Another one of my sketches from a reference. I try to understand how to draw cliffs and rocks, and it feels so unintuitive to me. Sometimes I try to draw them and it turnes out great, and sometimes it's so unintelligible that it looks like nothing. And I don't understand what I am even doing :(

I am actually so proud of myself for reaching part 20! This is the biggest series of anything drawn I have ever done!

I started this sketch series to have a safe space where I can draw the same things over and over, and maybe practice some poses and expressions. And right now I pretty much just draw my main character Efa :)

I actually really enjoyed drawing this one!

One of the reasons is because I drew it pretty fast. I am generally a slow person, and rare quick projects make me feel productive.

This sketch was really fun and easy to draw, and I like the vibes! I think I'm going to develop main location for my book in this direction
