I absolutely adore Sally, and their new design is probably my favorite (even though it is really hard to choose favorites!)

My first gouache plein air sketch! I said it before, and I'll say it again: I don't understand gouache. Sometimes I do something and it turns out horrible, and sometimes I do something, and it is suddenly decent. Some kind of gouache magic...

Of my four main characters, he probably has the most consistent design throughout years, so I didn't change it as much as with the others. But with Lin, I find it really interesting trying to get his poses and body language right.

Starting this year Artfight prep with some new character sheets!

For the last few months, I had a big project to redesign all four of my main characters. (Which was really hard, because even though I wasn't satisfied with the previous designs, I grew attached to them for some reason)

As always we are starting with Efa! I gave her some more colors (yellow!!), and also finally made a decent reference for her wings!

I am really proud of this one. It feels a little bit like a turning point, because it means that even if it takes two or three attempts, and even if it is not easy, I can create something, that actually expresses how much I love these silly little characters that live in my head!

Part 21 of drawing little sketches of characters from my WIP Little Fairies!!

Lately, I've been going through a bit of a slump. It's hard to draw consistently, but luckily, having something to draw that is easy and pre-planned like this really helps!

I remember that I said that I am interested in learning to work with gouache. I also remember that I said it a year ago, or something like that. So... It took me long enough.

All of my characters come frome different places, but they are not so developed visually as my main location. I decided to work on it a little bit, and as always, I started with Efa. So here are some sketches I did to find the right vibes for her home country.
