Torv Town (5176S 19007E, part 2)
This post is a continuation of the previous one.
Interior of the art gallery. Shares a similar fate to the other image focused building we saw near the eye mural.
Returning the way we came and going right down the road from the gate immediately greets us with a furniture shoppe with a similar purpose to the previous one.
Once upon a time (2002), the owner(s) of this store would have made a requesting citizen a custom piece of furniture.
I guess this confirms the suspicions we had about that box earlier.
Upstairs.
The offerings.
Leaving the shoppe and continuing right from the gate greets us with the town's signage.
Across from the signage is a plaza with teleportation buttons taking the citizen to different parts of Torv Town. Through this, we can get some context on previous areas.
Our mysterious tiny box is in fact a prison, no doubt for the citizens who misbehaved, if any.
The building we went through to enter Torv Town is known as the "Great Hall".
The house immediately closest to the eye mural is simply "Cabin Behind The Falls".
The playground next to the teleportation plaza.
"Do Not Go Here if you are afraid of spiders". Presumably would have had spiders on the blank spaces back in the day.
"Tarn Cots". Connected to the field we saw earlier.
"Christmas Hide away".
"Scamps Get Away". A completely empty plaza near the prison. Probably meant for something at one point.
"My Island Under Construction :)" teleports you to 5508S 18975E. Moving at all during this process will cause you to become embedded in the ground.
The only notable structure here.
And... oh, dear. It seems our big eye mural from earlier may not be connected to Torv Town at all, as the "Top Of The Falls" teleport appears to embed us in the ground beneath or near the mural. Unfortunate, but at least it serves a landmark purpose even if unauthorised.
Turning our attention now to the teleporters to the left, all of which appearing to be personal to different citizens. None of the destinations are situated inside Torv Town or the surrounding area. They also won't be shown off here beyond their destination coordinates due to their nature as texture yards, which would take forever to showcase.
"A great texture yard" teleports us quite a ways away from Torv Town, all the way to 1934N 10E. Unlike other imagery based areas we've seen thus far, some of the texturing here seems to have survived the modernisation of the Internet.
"Adagio's Yard" teleports us to 471N 1502E.
"Kellie's yard" teleports us to 1379N 1853W.
"Brenda's Yard" teleports us to 15761N 51E.
"A Must See Texture Yard" is a duplicate teleport of "A great texture yard".
Finally, "Lara's Building Teleports" takes us to 23622N 23559W. Rather than a texture yard, it's another teleporting system.
This about wraps up the notability of Torv Town, the largest expedition we've been on so far, but certainly not the largest we'll go on total. As with the other showcased locations on this blog, you're implored to explore this area yourself. :o)
Torv Town (5176S 19007E, part 1)
An unmissable giant pixel canvas bearing a high quality image of an eye, visible in the bottom right of the AlphaMapper world map from the default zoom level and coordinates will no doubt have piqued at least one traveler's interest.
The aerial view. The eye is in the middle-bottom right. While the most notable part of this area to the average modern citizen, in reality this eye serves as a landmark as part of the municipality of Torv Town.
The eye's canvas at ground level. Unsurprisingly, it is an unremarkable wasteland of random textures down here. Each object here would take an unreasonable amount of time to datestamp individually, but most surrounding the avatar have varying datestamps to multiple months in the year 2000, so it can be assumed that this took a few years to create. We'll say 2000 to 2005 at the most.
To the south of this behemoth of an eye is a small territory with multiple buildings. As with most buildings here in the DeltaWorlds archive of Alphaworld, their creators' citizen names are unknown.
The house immediately neighbouring the eye, dated to 2002.
Interior. The staticked out objects are missing textures.
Hollowed out building near the house containing audio objects, dated to around 2003. Unfortunately, all of the objects link to a GeoCities site, so none of them work.
Neighbouring this is another hollowed out building containing what once upon a time likely would have been image and video files. Similarly, all of the files here link to a GeoCities page, so they don't work. Seems like the creator of this property would have created custom furniture with image files on them for other citizens back in 2003.
Next to these two buildings is a structure of substantially higher quality, a recreation of the average residence of Hobbits, also dated to 2003.
Interior.
Back near our first house, a strange box with what seem to be cages inside dated to 2002.
Nearby this, a massive building with many rooms, dated to around 2003.
Interior from the front door.
Various interior rooms.
The plaza.
Behind the fountain is a gate leading to the town itself.
Turning left out this gate greets you with two houses and a grazing field full of specifically cows and horses.
Curious.
Probably the only living thing from this art gallery, as the interior of the gallery itself is nothing but missing textures.
This post will be continued in a second part as the image limit has been hit.

Day Three
Today, Feferi is lifting weights!
things I’ve noticed in the UK:
- when you’re jay walking, cars will actively accelerate bc the drivers want to kill you for breaking the rules
- servers in restaurants act very scared and apologetic, so maybe people aren’t nice to them here??? or I could be terrifying
- it’s really cute when little kids have British accents, but I’m unmoved by adults with accents
- extremely good gluten free options. this country is like 20 years ahead of Canada in that regard
- people will give random insignificant buildings names with little plaques. and then that’s the name that shows up on the map. like even a smaller than average family home, you can name it like it’s a dog
- lots of brick and stone buildings. looks cute and charming until you enter one and there’s no air conditioning
- people are still wearing jaguar print. I like this. don’t let it die
ohhh okay! amendment: cars will actively try to kill you for being small and made of flesh, instead of cool and metal like them
