I don't really having anything new to share since it has been a rather busy week so here's a couple of old sketches inspired by a friend's AU

In short words, it's a sort of ancient Roman-ish setting, with Artemis and Swift being gladiators in the Colosseum.

Yes, you ! Are you a fan of the Professor Layton franchise ? If not, then this won't probably get your interest, but if you are, then this post is probably for you !

For some time now, an artist from Switzerland has been writing a very good fancomic about the franchise, focusing on Desmond Sycamore and on the huge gap there is between the games (mostly Azran legacy) and the blanks there are in the lore, especially regarding Targent and the Azran civilisation. And so, that artist had been going with her fancomic, including references, puzzles, little animations and a major mystery in it.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you a Professor Layton fancomic : Miss Camelia and the Edenstone Golem !

Summary :

Camelia is a young girl who lives in a small town in England named Edenstone. One day, a tragedy occurs : her beloved uncle Grayson is brutally murdered in his mansion, soon after a mysterious stele was discovered inside the coal mine of the town, attracting a lot of researchers in Edenstone. Neil, Camelia's brother, is the one in charge of the investigation, but soon enough things get more complicated than it seems and everyone is suspected.

Desmond Sycamore, a young archaeology student, finds himself surrounded by other researchers and not all of them are giving him a nice welcome, especially because he's the youngest of the team... and he is also full of secrets. Soon enough, Camelia is intrigued by the young man, and the more the investigation goes on and the more complicated this story gets.

Who could the culprit be ? A researcher who is planning to get his hand on the stele ? A member of the police to stop old files to get back from the archives ? The mayor because of some economical and political views ? Someone seeking the heritage ? And things manage to take an unexpected turn when some men in uniforms seemed to get closer to the stele... and from the big mysteries buried in this coal mine.

-> Indeed, this work features a lot of oc's and they are all incredibly interesting, adding to the mysteries surrounding the whole plot and the whole story. The artsyle is heavily inspired by the Layton universe artstyle and the plot can remind you of Agatha Christi's novels, where all characters aren't reliable and where everyone is an ideal culprit~

I rewatched "Blue Eye Samourai" last week and I felt the urge to draw something inspired by Japanese culture and folklore.

Also, in case you didn't notice yet, I have a main oc and I draw them in various situations and au's because I love the idea ahah XD

OK so I'm slept deprived, in a nervous breakdown in the middle of my summer vacations, so I jumped back at some of my comfort shows, games and all, and....

Anton : the prideful and charismatic aristocrat

Clark : the professional, expert in paperwork and organisation, the cool one

Henry : the professional, expert in paperwork and organisation, the colder one

Randall : the seductive one, flirty and talkative

Layton : the elegant gentleman, often paired with Randall

Desmond/Descole : the double-edge gentleman, elegant scholar during the day, smug bastard during the night ! And with a protective side toward the elegant gentleman

Clive : the bad boy, very popular but secretly a soft one

Luke : gentleman to be, watches everyone around, is a cuty pie !

Some drawings about my girl Magpie, or Madeline, and about how I'd love to picture her, to be back at developing her even though I lack time and energy ahah X'3

I kinda like how much I've improved at drawing poses and characters X'3 not perfect but still X3

And a little clsoe up to these two drawings because I love how she looks ahah XD

Basically, I think I'll change a few things regarding her files, I don't even know which version of her I'll keep going with but still, I'm always happy to draw that girl and to experiment both drawing and developing a lore for an oc X3

She's an agent, a very skilled one, but I think she could take a very darker turn if she was desperate enough, let alone how her superior may have taken things in hands indeed regarding her behaviour. She'd still be skilled in history and linguistics and she'd also be trained and useful as some mole to send to some classy reception about archaeology indeed. She'd be good at fighting, but wouldn't count on her brutal strength. And she'd be a manipulative bitch, always getting what she wants because she could appear to be disdainful or inconsistent, but she'd be planning every single move she'd make, and she'd be a vicious and vile woman. Oh, and she's great at pickpocketing people and being a skilled thief. There's a reason she's the Magpie after all~

Got bored and stressed like crazy these past few days and I really needed to focus on something nice and cosy so I went back drawing that girl ahah ><

I know it is of no valuable interest but still, it feels vetter to share it rather than to let it rot inside my phone as a nameless screenshot ahah X'3

Anyway, if Bill possesses Rania, this could be what would happen to her. She'd be somehow granted the gift of seeing it all, like a cosmic being, part of the stars and somehow becoming a constellation herself. However, she'd still get used by Bill as some henchwoman, to help him assure his dominance on Gravity Falls by hunting down every member of the Zodiac to stop people from trying to stop him.

In this version of the story, Ford escapes the bell tower with Dipper and hides with everyone else in the Shack. After Rania is sent there to capture them all, everyone splits and tries to hide away from her huntress form.

The more she is transformed like this and the more she loses herself and what makes her human, like sympathy, empathy, sadness, attachment etc. She's still Rania, but under a layer of complex feelings, so one would have to dig up her very core-self to bring her back to normal and to reason.

Her capacities include creating wormholes to move, like teleportation, and some sort of blackholes that are like pocket-timeless-prisons in which she keeps her "preys" until she get them locked up at the Fearamid.

Welcome to Gravity Falls

When she first arrived in Gravity Falls, Rania thought it would be safer not to tell her real name, and so she kept it a secret. She knew it was stupid -maybe she was being too paranoid- but she couldn't come with something better than "Mel Pomeni" as a fake name.

However, she would lose nothing trying to get to know the place better, especially since she's supposed to stay here for some time. She heard about the Shack, people told her it was some kind of weird museum. She loves antics, so nothing was stopping her from going there.

Plus... what could possibly happen ?

Summerween costume !

Rania is a huge fan of the Hex Girls even though they are from cartoons. She knows the songs by heart and she loves the whole "eco goth" vibe. She also loves music in general : she sings, she can go from alto to soprano thanks to her large vocal range and she even plays clarinet but she hasn't touched one for years now. Her favorite genre is probably jazz and she has a soft spot for klezmer when it comes to instrumental music.

So for Summerween, and since Mabel was insisting for her to join the whole celebration, she decided to dress as Thorn from the band (she had a big crush on her when she was younger). Dipper suggested a Fortune Teller as a joke and Mabel thought she would've done a very good witch but she wasn't comfortable with that last idea.

Of course, she didn't expect a big legendary Summerween Trickster to try to eat the kids !

A strange encounter

Alright so I'm redrawing this little thing because I rushed the last one and I wasn't fully satisfied with it so here I'm trying harder with the cartoon style ahah ><

"What has happened to you sir ?..."

Rania is very sensitive to energies and to places where such energies are to be found in higher proportions, mostly old places that accumulated a lot of things, would they be good or bad. Her eyes alone can't see them clearly unless the energy is very strong, so she uses her hagstone to help her find some trail, some hidden path and hidden things in general.

However, following the path deep into the forest, she didn't expect to find someone in that old crumbling church. Someone with such a... broken aura. It was like waves of uncertainty and mixed energies, all unbalanced and storming around that poor old man like lost birds trying to find their place to land, somewhere to go, a purpose to fulfill. It was too overwhelming and she couldn't stop a tear or two.

Churches never were a happy place anyway.

First impressions :

I should study ; I'm exhausted so I treat myself with drawing things I like.

Clearly, Ford doesn't like Rania. She's always secretive, she usually seems joyful until she meets him or Stan. Thr only thing he knows is that she's keeping secrets and he doesn't want her to mess with him, his brother or the kids. Plus, her "capacities" are not to his liking, at all.

She spends a lot of time with Mabel, the girl is teaching her knitting and she likes it, it helps her relax and it's so satisfying.

She visited the Shack once but seemed pretty amused by most of the stuffed animals and all. However, she went once to Gravity Falls' Museum and she felt awkward, strange... as if there was always someone watching her.

No one knows why she came to Gravity Falls, but she's determined to stay as discreet as possible, for an unknown reason as well.

I present to you an old OC I've drawn back and better than the last one (I've been checking my files on my phone and found back I had a Gravity Falls OC for a rp and I've never used it because we've never done it in the end) and recently I got back watching the whole serie because this is a gem !

The style being more cartoonish helps me a lot with emotions and with the way I can also draw one character the same way but with different pose (srly, it's hell for me !) So it's a very nice way to train as well ^^

At first I wasn't being really confident about sharing that OC like this, but a friend convinced me she was pretty interesting and so here I am ^^"
