With the last word, Kyungsoo got up from his seat and exited his leader’s room silently.
Jongin quietly contemplated how to handle this piece of news and whether he should take immediate action or if he should just let it play out. After another moment with his thoughts, he decided to have you turn in for the night and went out to the main room to have someone fetch you. You had no idea what awaited you that evening…
That evening, probably around 8:30pm, you were accompanied back to Jongin’s room by both Yixing and Kyungsoo. You were made to walk next to Kyungsoo in the hall as Yixing quietly followed behind. As the door was opened for you, you were urged inside and the door closed behind you. As you looked up, you saw Jongin sitting on the couch, expectantly waiting for you.
“Good evening, my dear,” he grinned.
You simply turned your head away in response.
“Aw, don’t be like that, love,” He cooed. You saw that he got up from his seat out of the corner of your eye, but you didn’t move. He approached you and took you by the arm, pulling you around to face him.
You tried to yank away but as you glanced up at his face to glare at him, you noticed his cocky smile had faded. And this sent chills down your spine.
“Disappointed? Oh, I’m so sorry I interrupted your time with Yixing,” he let go of you arm as a sick chuckle escaped his throat. “But I actually need you to accompany me somewhere important tonight.”
This threw you off, “What?”
“Well, you see,” he began as he turned around and approached the closet, opening it, “I have a very urgent meeting; I must go to at a party. But I need a lady to accompany me.” He turned around, pulling out a pair of black stilettos and a dark turquoise dress, “And you are perfect for that.”
You took a step back as he came towards you, “I don’t think so.”
“Don’t say that. Besides,” your thighs ran into the desk behind you, leaving you nowhere to go, “I don’t think you would find it very pleasant if I have to dress you.” He was now nose to nose with you, his voice quiet and chilling.
Snatching the dress and shoes from him, you begrudgingly agreed, “Fine. But you have to leave the room.”
“I’m not going to leave my own room just so you can change.”
“And why not?” You demanded.
“You are a guest in my home. Not the other way around.”
“You mean a prisoner,” You glowered.
“Do you want me to show you how I would treat a prisoner?” He growled low in your ear. He abruptly spun you around and forced you face first into the desk while pinning your arms. Winded, you gasped for air, terrified. “You really are more valuable in one piece but I’m sure the others wouldn’t mind helping me break you...” He bit down on your neck, causing you to cry out.
Is he going to beat me? Rape me? You thought, petrified at the idea.
“But, I’m really on a time crunch here. So, what do you say?”
You nodded.
“Good girl,” he hummed as he patted your thigh. He stood straight and pulled you up from the desk and released you. He took you by the shoulders and turned you around, so you were facing him.
You didn’t look up at him as he moved you, instead you found a spot on the ground to stare at.
He reached around to your back and found the zipper to the gown and glided it down. He then slipped the sleeves off your shoulders and the dress fell to the ground, pooling at your feet.
You’re body shook in fear and shame as his fingers grazed your skin. But, just then a dangerous and desperate thought crossed your mind. Maybe he just needs the right kind of convincing...
Just as you started to shift your gaze, he caught your jaw painfully, “Not a chance. I may be a man, but I promise you, I’m not that weak.” Grabbing the gown on the desk behind you, he dropped his hand and gave the turquoise dress and ordered, “Get dressed.” He didn’t wait for you. Instead he turned around and walked to the door and opened it; exiting the room.
You couldn’t help but slump to the floor, feeling completely helpless and defeated. A soft sob escaped your lips as you dressed yourself and did your best to fix your hair. Just as you had finished and were about the open the door, you heard Jongin on the other side.
“I have a job for you.”
“Who do you want me to dump now? Or is it another trade? You know it’s going to cost you,” She muttered.
A woman?
“No, I need you to clean her up and make her presentable. I found some information and I’m going to need her if I want to take advantage of it.” He explained.
You shuttered at the thought of whatever deal he wanted to use you for. Is he really going to sell me off?
“Hmm, what a intriguing request. What makes her so special?” Her tone becoming sultry in the last sentence.
“None of that. I called you here for business only and it’s on a need to know basis,” Jongin’s tone was hard; cold.
She sighed, “Yeah, yeah. I get it. Maybe next time though.” The door opened and in front of you stood a woman in her twenties with slick, tied up black hair, dark eyes, and cool expression. She closed the door behind her and glanced up and down at you before chuckling. “I see you’ve learned Jongin likes to be rough.” She approached you and tapped your bruised neck.
You just shifted your eyes away, feeling them water slightly.
“Don’t worry, honey. You probably won’t be here for long. Though I can’t guarantee the next place will be any better.” She pointed to the sofa, “Now, sit. We’ve got some work to do and I don’t want to be here longer than I have to be.”
After some time, the woman got up, “All done.” She gathered her belongings. “Good luck, honey. You’ll need it.”
You could only nod, too exhausted to speak.
She just shook her head, as she left the room. Jongin entered as she left and shut the door again.
“Look at me,” He commanded.
New found anger began to boil up in you. You didn’t owe him anything. Why should you listen anymore? It would just be better if he got mad and killed you anyways, right? Why drag this out...
With two fingers, he tenderly placed them under your chin a guided your head to look at him. “This doesn’t have to be hard,” he whispered.
Your lips parted slightly, agape as you stared at him.
He was dressed in a tuxedo, with his hair slicked back; his dark eyes surprisingly soft. “I just need your help with something. And if you do, I might be able to let you go...” He leaned forward, his lips brushing against yours, “Just like you want. I won’t even bother your other family.”
Will... Will he really let me go...? You swallowed hard. You began to feel hopeful but a small warning bell in your mind was going off, making you uneasy.
“But if you don’t...” His fingers dropped to your neck, tapping your pulse, “Imagine what I’ll have to do to your poor brother instead.” A deadly look entered his eyes.
Dread coursed through your veins before you whispered, “Don’t... I’ll do what you want.” You couldn’t believe what you were saying. At the same time though, the deep concern you felt for your brother’s safety surpassed any fear you felt for yourself.
“Good,” Jongin relaxed his gaze and dropped his hand. “Stand up. We need to get going.”
You stood shakily. Maybe if I play along, I can find a way to escape and warn my brother. The thought gave you new determination. I have to get out of here.
Jongin watched you for a moment before saying, “Give me a spin.”
You froze, “Excuse me?”
“Turn. Around,” He gritted.
Sucking in a sharp breath, you turned slowly; allowing him to view you at every angle. When you were back to facing him again, he took you be the waist and pulled you to his chest.
“Now, a taste.” Without warning, his lips crashed into yours, in a aggressive and demanding kiss.
You tried to fight at first, but he took your bottom lip into his teeth harshly, as a oppressive reminder to behave. Whimpering slightly, you stilled your movements and let him kiss you. After a moment, he released your lip and pulled away.
“Delicious,” He grinned smugly. He buried his head in the crook of your neck, “And for insurance.” He sucked hard at your neck and collar bone; leaving purple bruises in a trail.
You quivered in pain but also found your body responding unexpectedly as well. You couldn’t deny that you felt some pleasure in this, despite the situation.
When he finally lifted his head, he smirked down at his work and said, “Much Better. Let’s go.”

There are monkeys, used to being fed by tourists, who are now coming into the city looking for food. Rival gangs of them are fighting over what food they can find.
The Nara deer, the ones who bow for their feed crackers, who would usually be fed by visitors to the park, are wandering out of the park and into strange places in search of food and, presumably, people.
In the absence of humans, animals are moving into spaces they were unable to get to before. Since humans are still around, this isn’t great, but it’s kind of neat to think that if all humans disappeared, animals would not take long to start returning.

We talk a lot about consent, and that’s a good thing. We talk a lot about autonomy, and that’s a good thing. We talk a lot about privacy, and that’s a good thing.
But we talk mostly about all of that in respect to sex, and relationships, and it’s important to remember this applies to other things, too.
If someone says, “don’t tell anyone I got this new job,” and you then tell people, you’ve violated their consent, their privacy, and their autonomy.
If a friend says, “I don’t like it when people touch my hair,” and you keep touching their hair, you have violated their consent, their autonomy, and their privacy.
If a coworker asks you not to tease them about their new boyfriend, even if it seems like gentle and friendly fun to you, and you do it, you’ve violated their consent, their autonomy, and their privacy.
People remember these things, and they hurt. Not as much as sexual assault, obviously. But those small violations of your wishes, those instances of disrespect, still hurt, and they can add up.
Consent doesn’t just apply to sex. Respect the wishes of others.
