henrik eyes katherine for a minute, blue orbs searching her brown ones for a moment. “you know.” it isn’t a question, he knows that she knows what’s going in this town. it as probably for the best, he may not know her well but a part of him didn’t like the idea of her unknowingly being stuck in the middle of a war. he chuckles at her suggestion, shrugging his shoulders. “i dunno if i’d look to good in that outfit. i prefer my clothes to be more... designer than that.”

“hmm... i knew you were a smart woman.” henrik says with a smirk. most people considered him to be a hufflepuff and sometimes he could even be a slytherpuff but at heart he would always be a slytherin. “hmmm... i’ll take the jester position.” he says with a wink, already pulling a pen out to start jotting down notes.

“You poor thing. How ever do you survive?” Katherine teasingly mocked Henrik. He was a year under her but he was smart enough to probably get the assignments. “My grades are just fine if that tells you anything. I know more than what people think I do. I’m not dumb, I know what was going on in the classroom, I just have better things to do than mess around with the work after school. It’s like working at a fast food restaurant and resuming your work at home. I don’t think so.”

“by knowing i’ll be far, far away from this town after i graduate early. my grades are good enough to get me into freaking hogwarts.” he says, a sly grin forming on his face. he was a hard worker when it came to his schoolwork. he’d always wanted to leave town but now he wanted it more than anything else. “i wish i could be like that. sadly if i’m not brain deep in my books i don’t get anything done. i suppose we can’t all be gods though.”

REBEKAH: I won't come crying to you, or to anyone. With our brothers here Kai knows he won't be able to get away with everything like he has been.

REBEKAH: And at least Kol stayed with us. He is our family and despite the things that we may not like him doing, he is still our family and in his own way he is trying to protect us. I don't condone what he said about Nik, but Kol is trying to make it right.

REBEKAH: Henrik, she has her claws in you and she is abusing that. I'm not going to come stay love, and you shouldn't either.

HENRIK: yeah i can feel it too.

HENRIK: that's false hope and you know it. psychopaths may be smart but he's also a vampire now. he'll kill again and again and everyone will sweep it under the rug. no big deal though. i'm going to graduate early and move far away from here so it isn't my problem.

HENRIK: totally. i mean it isn't like he didn't try and eat me and elijah after he turned and threaten our aunt and threaten to rip my heart out. he can take his attempt at making it right and shove it up his lily white ass.

“oh god, you have it so easy. i do triple this in like a day.” henrik says, a grin crossing his face as he flipped through her work. “how do you plan to get out of this town if you don’t study or anything?” he asks her, already planning an outline for how he’d get her work done.

REBEKAH: Elijah told me about your obsession with Kai. I don't like him either but you have to stop Henrik, there is nothing that we can do. Not until he does something that turns Kol against him.

HENRIK: sure they don't.

HENRIK: fine. when he starts hacking people to death in the streets and eating everyone, don't come crying to me because i don't wanna hear it.

HENRIK: no it isn't. you just want it to be so you can be angry at her for doing what she thought was the right thing. she made a mistake rebekah but at least she didn't start dating a murderous psychopath like kol did and threaten to kill us all.

Dahlia placed her hands flat of the surface on the counter and gave him a hard stare. “Well, I never asked you to like it. I’m only saying I want you on your best behavior and I mean it, Henrik.” Her expression softened as her fingers flipped through the recipe book again. “Now, are you going to sulk or help me pick out the best pumpkin pie recipe?”

“i promise i will... unless they start with me. then i’ll start hitting them with lightning.” henrik says with a light tone, head popping up and he leans over the book on the counter to look. for a few minutes he says nothing before he sighs and breaks. “so i was looking at a couple of books i found in one of your trunks in the attic...” henrik says, glancing up at her quickly before averting his eyes. “they were grimoires. there was dark magic in them.”

The minute Henrik used a hand to lightly tug a lock of her hair aside, Corbin’s instinct forced her to grab his wrist and push it away. “Don’t touch me.” The young woman did her best to remain patient while the threats were being made and she would be extremely nervous to throw back anything of worth, but that was the old Corbin. The nervous, shy Corbin who stuttered over her words and shrunk away like a child when faced with confrontation. “That’s what I don’t understand about you, Henrik. You act like you’re hanging off of the cliff when you have no idea what it’s really like to be a dark witch, not really. Time and time again like a broken record, you keep trying to prove how tough you are. But I’m not blind, Henrik, I see what’s really going on. You hate the fact that you’re the youngest who thinks he’s being treated like crap when you actually have a family who really loves you. Did it ever occur to you that you might be the reason why you feel as if they’re pushing you away? You drove Kol out. If you’re not careful, you’ll do the same to your other siblings.” Corbin took a step back and held out her arms. “I’m not here looking for a fight, Henrik. But from my point of view, you intentionally seek one out with everyone you meet. How long will the cycle continue until you realize how alone you are because of your petty actions? So, I’m going to be blunt for once and say you need to stop acting like a child and grow up if you want anyone to take you seriously.”

henrik let her push his hand away, knowing he probably shouldn’t have touched her to begin with but to be honest he didn’t really care about her personal space. for a moment he considered slapping her right across the face as she spoke, hating the fact that deep down her words had some kind of truth to them. as if were nature a ball of white hot fire formed in his palmed and he flicked it right at her, the ball nearly grazing her face before it hit a wall and set it on fire. “if you ever assume to know anything about me again i will send you back to what is left of your pathetic little family in a matchbox.” he spits at her. after a deep breath he lets his face go expressionless and he turns away from her. “you’re not one of us, corbin. whether you’re related to klaus or you’re screwing around with my other brother, you know nothing about us or what family even is so don’t ever fool yourself into thinking you know. you don’t.”

Oh, and by the way, if you ever threaten Kol or Kai again, I’ll be sure you choke on more than just your blood.”

henrik blinks slowly, unimpressed by the threat she threw his way. he quite frankly wasn’t afraid of her, or the rest of her siblings and he wasn’t going to pretend to be just so she could feel powerful. standing up, he stepped forward until he was face to face with her, smiling. “no one is afraid of you or your siblings. it’s silas they fear so i wouldn’t go throwing around the name like we’re suppose to be shaking in our boots because i assure you, we aren’t.” he says, brushing a lock of her from her face gently. “i don’t know what it is about you people that makes you think you’re better than me. maybe it’s because i smile so much or because i’m a child at heart that prefers not to to be so violent, but don’t make the mistake of underestimating me darling because i will turn you inside out and use your bones to flay the skin off your body if you ever threaten me again.” he hisses in her face coldly. “do you understand me or do i have to show you just how close to the edge i am?”
