Hey Jax I've always wanted to ask this what are your thoughts on the super strict science fitness types vs the bro science and where do you stand. Do you believe fitness is a one way route or there are different ways. New follower here love your work.
Well first off thank you and I’ll say this
ABSOLUTELY NOT AND THAT LIMITED WAY OF THINKING HOLDS SO MANY PEOPLE BACK!
People always try to make it seem like FITNESS IS A ONE SIZE Fit all. WHEN ITS NOT?!
There many ways to accomplish your own fitness goals that some folks become so close minded they can’t accept other methods.
Some folks tell you their routines and what they eat and people just say
“well I’m calling bullshit”
and Sometimes that is clearly verified and they want to keep folks from hurting themselves which I completely respect.
Like that one dude who was like I dont drink any water THATS COMMON SENSE DANGEROUS
But SOME FOLKS are just OUTLIERS (not liars though some may be) where the Average fitness routine doesn’t apply to them.
Some folks can get hulkishly large off just calisthenics, others cant.
Some folks can get Super Ripped Bodybuilder physiques naturally, some have to use drugs.
some say No carbs for Better fat loss, Some say just be in a deficit
Some folks love doing cardio on an empty stomach, some folks say you’re gonna burn muscle if you have no food in you
Some folks have really bizarre eating patterns some folks follow the average and still make great results.
EVERY ‘BODY’ is DIFFERENT and REACTS DIFFERENTLY!
It is up to you to TEST Your Body and see what you can do. For instance I had a friend switch from weight lifting to calisthenics and now he looks like he’s carved out of marble and prefers it. Another friend stopped lifting weights because he saw that one’s physique but didnt make the same results even though he trained just as hard.
WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. NOT EVERYONE can Do Insanity, Not Everyone can do P90X , NOT everyone Can follow the same Chicken, Broccoli Brown rice diet plan Not everyone can afford a gym etc etc
its up to folks to make the best of what they got and test what they are capable of. If you see something and say thats bullshit ask yourself well why is it?
Let me STAY SAFE and test this out on myself if it works wow that was a surprise. You may be an outlier and that be cool you’ve got something over other folks. If it doesnt, oh well. But don’t be so close minded Explore new regions.
Now of course Eating Healthy, Resting up, and Training Right are Staples but remember FITNESS is NOT A ONE SIZE fit all.
Its honestly like saying (to quote BBC)
“2+2= 4 and anyone who thinks 3+1=4 is a fuckin moron”
There are ENDLESS ways to get to 4 just like there are Many ways to reach the same destination its not always the same and if people think its the same for everyone well to me thats really close minded but hey folks do what they wanna do. But I still say explore and see what you are truly capable of instead of just saying thats Bullshit, thats stupid that cant work. Its a limiting mindset imho so keep workin hard PLUS ULTRA
Spent the whole weekend poling!
:D So happy, poled for a few hours on both Friday and Saturday, and couldn’t have poled on Sunday had my life depended on it, just super sore!
I’m back to struggling with nerve endings, but it was great to go back. This weekend I’ll be getting a little in on Friday, but I’ve set up to do more pull ups/rows at home, to help me get back into the swing of things a bit more.
Lastly, made vegan lentil taco “meat”, only complaint being it was a bit bland. That’s what I get for using water instead of stock, next time I’ll actually following the recipe!
