i love that they miss each other enough to fight it out in a grocery store like a divorced couple. i love that buck sabotaged eddie's house showings without realizing it because he didn't want eddie to move. i love they are codependent and a little crazy about each other. i love that they hate being separated.

i love that they have both put their lives on the line with little regard for the danger they would be in to save each other. i love that they validate each other and unknowingly created a family unit just because they love each other that much. i love that there's no one eddie trusts more in the world. i love how serious buck takes that responsibility.

my personal lived truth is that eddie diaz is originally introduced as a queer character and if he wasn't always supposed to be buck's love interest, then maybe at first it was meant as an intentional misdirect for when you meet shannon, but Eddie in 2A is a gay man. buck clocks him, pepa clocks him, women aren't his type, diagnosed Coparenting With A Man by a christmas elf. that man is gay.

i am 100% serious about this btw like especially the pepa scene is like. watch it! it's fully written in a straightforward "sweet but possibly over involved family member wants to know more about this nice young man you've shown up with" and Eddie (not in a defensive repressed way but just in a loving eye roll don't embarrass me way) says "we work together" like – he knows what she's implying! and he's just like 🥰😌
