@Beyoncé, if you’re not going to do anything with that popeyes membership card, please send it my way. thanks.
You better not be letting all that damn chicken go to waste. I know Miss Tina raised you better than that.
When I say I hate country music I DONT mean life is a highway by rascal flatts
So we took engagement photos 💍🍾
what the FUCK does it even mean when someone says like “i support the LGBT community but don’t shove it in my face! enough already”
i’m serious. i want to know. is it just disingenuous? are they just not even admitting their bigotry to themselves?
i genuinely just am having such a hard time finding the point of that sentiment. the only explanation i can find is that it’s a straight person who wants to live a beautiful sweet, straight life in a straight dominated world, who has SOME interest in the self love of marginalized people, but just to an EXTENT that they don’t have to have their egos threatened?
and fuck your “i don’t care” brand of support. saying, “people are gay, who cares, i don’t care!” is useless and condescending.
start fucking caring. people have died and they are dying. care, motherfucker. show support. make your support known. or at least, for FUCKS SAKE shut the FUCK up when it’s taking place around you

most of the ocean is unexplored because everyone agreed that we’d all sleep better at night if we dont know what the hell is down there
You’re telling me white dude writers told a trans black woman actor and a Latina actor how women would act in their situation….. Oh god now I see the problem

I don’t watch OITNB but booooy, am I not surprised that The Whites™ are already defending the death of a black lesbian woman as something that make sense and “well-executed” instead of their usual fanfares of boycotting and pitchforks.
I’m fucking tired. Poussey Washington was one of the few, if not only, black lesbians we had actually portrayed by a black lesbian as talented and beautiful as Samira Wiley.
I could list all the attributes that make Poussey one of the best characters on television but I shouldn’t have to. It didn’t matter that she spoke three languages, that she was beautiful, carefree, and uplifted every single person around her. Her life mattered regardless.
The fact that a group of mostly white women sat and wrote an episode to shed light on police brutality by killing a black lesbian in such a violent way was the final straw in seasons upon seasons of misogyny, racism, and rape apologia.
The fact that they made it accidental proves they had no idea what they were doing and made no attempts to do this story justice. This was not their story to tell. They literally killed her for no reason.
White fans are already hurting themselves to protect a white police officer we barely know over Poussey and write endless racist meta about why her death is needed - it’s fucking disturbing. I’m exhausted. We’re dying in real life and we’re dying on screen and white people do not fucking care. They honestly don’t give a single fuck.
A white lesbian character in brownface and a bindi, played by a white straight actress dies in The 100:
Ten seconds after the on-screen death happens there is already a trending hashtag worldwide, people on tumblr and Twitter warn about the scene so other wlw fans won’t be caught off-guard, the harsh psychological consequences as young wlw fans of only seeing ourselves in TV if we end up dead are immediately brought up.
Fans rally to have the show cancelled, harass ACD’s co-workers of color (Idina, Lindsey, Bob, Ricky) because they can’t risk their jobs by vocally condemning Lexa’s death, rally for the on-screen death of a Filipino male character, make twenty different worldwide trends on Twitter.
They invent a white bisexual OC (Alycia Lex) in Fear The Walking Dead and automatically flood tags with her while ignoring the show’s characters of color and specifically calling a gay black man “boring” and “a token”; collect money for billboards, get a Snapchat filter, call every fan of color who dares be uncomfortable with the worship of two White Saviors™ in brownface and culturally appropriative costumes (fake dreads, bindi) an homophobe.
A black lesbian character played by a black lesbian dies in OITNB:
Why would you spoil the season finale for me??? Piper is such good bi representation!!! Alex is a lesbian!!! This show is so good!!! They weren’t trying to be racist, anti-black lesbophobes!!! Look at the white queer women!!! How dare black and/or wlw fans be angry about this???
Zoe Kravitz out in NYC
NYPD everyone
you know whats really cute? people who pay attention to you .. i don’t mean in a vain sort of way…but in a “oh half the pizza doesn’t have anchovies bc i remember you saying you don’t like fish” type attention.
In Japan, tens of thousands of people gathered on the island of Okinawa Sunday to demand the ouster of U.S. military bases. Activists said 65,000 people attended what they called the largest protest in two decades against the U.S. military presence.
For decades, Okinawa residents have pushed for ousting U.S. forces off the island, citing decades of rape and environmental harm by the U.S. military.
