Partners? Never Heard of Her
@miserycrona
Joseph hadn’t ever expected to ever be in the vicinity of the DWMA. He had no partner, nor a plan to become a death weapon. He just wanted to be a teacher, to help people, and to make sure his sister got a partner who would hopefully balance her out. She was bad at it. She was bad at all the functioning with other people things. He was going to just do what jobs he was offered— and this was one of them. Helping with a student who was younger than him, helping them to learn and cope and figure out what worked best for them. He was happy to have this job.
The student’s name, he had been told, was Chrona. A picture of a semi-androgynous person with pink-ish hair and sad eyes had been provided, so he could spot them as needed. He was supposed to meet them for lunch today. He was supposed to help them and then leave to get set up for his own attendance. Instead, he got super excited and practically ran to the class where he was supposed to find the meister. He was hoping to make a friend out of it. He opened the door and spotted the person, grinning and immediately freeing warmly without analyzing the situation. “Hey! You’re Chrona, right? I’m Joseph! Nice to meet you!”

Crona had never expected to be allowed to stay near the DWMA. She thought they would definitely cast her out or kill her or put her on some kind of trial. But Maka vouched for her, and so did the rest of the team. She spent a rather long time wondering if it was worth it. If she deserved all of this kindness. She’s gone back into her shell for the most part, especially since Maka has gotten busy. She and soul are off doing Death Weapon things. So Crona stays to herself, her poems, and schoolwork. Which in itself can be very difficult for her.
People generally give her a wide berth. Even if Maka vouched for her, a lot of people lost families and friends to Crona. But that’s okay. She’d rather be alone most of the time anyway. Death, however, seems to understand that that might not be such a good idea. Her mental state has never been the most stable.
Easily deduced by how she jumps when you greet her. Her eyes widen and her shoulders tense, but when she looks at you she seems more confused than anything else.
“U-uh... Yeah.. I-I’m Crona. Um. N... Nice t-to uh.. Nice to meet you too..?”
