As if to cry a thousand tears,
I find myself yearning for years upon years
to spend beside you,

Muscular and handsome beyond compare,
he is the one I do declare:

Rivers leave their silt upon shore,
fertile, warm, and ready for more.
Ready, eager, longing for more
hands sow the core.
And given time and care,
a beautiful miracle should happen there.
A thousand flowers bloom.
The chairman swam within her
and dreamed of day when he might dam her.
He wrote of her fondly,
and wrote poetry imagining her a lóng shì.
He saw it not, but his dreams were realized,
by those who read his words and idealized
the future he knew the people had within them to realize.
The sandhill crane (antigone canadensis) is a commonly cited example of species that exhibit biparental care, wherein both the father and mother of the offspring assist in the rearing of juveniles. The cranes typically raise one brood per year and accompany the offspring for the first ten months of their lives. Once juvenile cranes have reached this age, they form nomadic flocks with fellow non-breeding juveniles and remain with these groups until they find breeding pairs between the ages of two and seven years old. Sandhill cranes are known for the positive reinforcement they provide their non-breeding peers, as well as the curiosity they exhibit toward the behavior and interests of their peers—with some cranes having been known to stalk their peers from a distance to observe their behaviors.[citation needed]
