Please assume my gender. I don’t know what I look like to other people. I don’t know if you even notice the small things I spend hours looking at in my mirror. I don’t know if you notice that my legs, arms and face aren’t as hairy as they are on other dudes. I don’t know if you notice my chest or my hips. I don’t know if you’re trying to be progressive by asking about my gender or just generally don’t know. I don’t know if you’re got kind intentions when you call me “they” or just don’t  perceive me as a guy. What I do know is that it makes me insecure and makes me doubt my whole appearance, so please assume my gender.

Saying “you don’t need dysphoria to be trans” is the equivalent of saying that being trans is a choice, and I bet you my nonexistent dick that if it was a choice there wouldn’t be anywhere near as many trans folks.
