I took a deep breath and looked away from him, wishing I could say what I really wanted to say. That I loved him. But I couldn't do that. The feeling was too strong.

Something I haven't seen anyone talk about before is the parallel between the pilot episode and 3x06. I'm talking about this scene in particular.
It's a beautiful scene, partly improvised, but I'm talking about the framing. The background, the lighting-- for a moment there it doesn't look like they're in the streets, but it looks like it's a confessional booth. More specifically, it looks very similar to Louis' confessional booth from the pilot episode.
In the pilot episode, Louis has this really emotional confession, after which Lestat comes in, kills the priest, and they 'get married'. We don't know how much Lestat heard of his confession, but we don't need to know. Lestat knew, because he read his mind. He knew what Louis was going through, knew about his deepest, darkest thoughts and desires and all about his shame. And still, on the altar, he wanted to spend the rest of his immortal life with him.
In 3x06, this is paralleled. This is the reveal of Lestat's biggest, most well-kept secret (through really unethical means but this is not about that). Lestat didn't want for it to be revealed in this manner, but he later admits that deep down, he wanted Louis to know.
So Louis has everything revealed to Lestat, and Lestat still loves him and wants to be with him. Lestat then also has everything revealed to Louis, and Louis holds him and kisses his hair and tells him it's going to be okay. He still loves him, and later on in the episode he confirms they're back together (in some capacity).
They take turns in the confessional booth, but the result is the same. They love each other no matter what and it brings them closer together.
THE ANSWER
Lestat's mantra be like:
Self aware king
Never stop being dramatic
So now anytime someone says "crying, screaming, throwing up"
There is only one thing I can think of
I did however convince a woman to buy a men's pairs of shorts because she did a like the design on it, and she was upset it came only in the men's. And I was like 'well let's just find a size that fits you in the men's...'
Because like who the fuck cares if it's made for men or women if it fits you it fucking fits you and if you like it fucking put it on!
I still remember years ago we had a guy come in and he put on a coat that was a woman's coat but he loved it and he looked great in it but then he saw it was for women and he took it off like it was fucking burning his skin. Stop gendering shit.
If it looks good on you, it fits, and you like it on you - put it on.
If it looks good on
you, it fits, and you like it
on you - put it on.
Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
I have been charmed by this guy here some art of his gay ass
The plot is a character kind a circling his mind and getting very core center of it, which is, you know...
hate when people try to apply their morals onto the characters of iwtv. They’re all bad. We can joke about “oh poor baby, meow meow” but please don’t let that delude yourself. Yes, all these characters have good in them, but they’re evil.
Everything we’ve learned about Lestat this past season. Louis saying he loves Claudia while repeatedly violating her privacy and agency by reading her diaries and letting others read them. Daniel is an asshole who often makes racist and ableist remarks, and his treatment towards his family and women in general is awful. Even Claudia, who is ultimately the biggest victim of the show, is also evil! She enjoys killing people. She’s manipulated the narrative just like Louis and Lestat. Everyone is evil!!!
That’s what makes them such good characters. They’re complex. They’re hard to understand, but in order to understand them, you can’t hold them to a moral code. It’s not about finding the proof that any of them are more a victim than a villain. They are all both victim AND villain.

I VALUE my alone time. Like I deadass love my peace and quiet
one thing i think this fandom lacks is the understanding that many things can be true at the same time.
did Armand partake in the ruthless murder of Claudia? absolutely.
did Louis enable the fucked up power dynamics of pimp/sex slave between him and Armand? absolutely.
was Lestat a victim? absolutely.
did he also perpetuate the same cycles of abuse he himself was a victim of? absolutely.
do i wish the season had a different pacing and had more scenes from the TVL book? absolutely.
do i think the season works as a part 1 of 2 of a very long arc? absolutely (and i had soooo much fun watching it).
i have said this a billion times already but i do believe complexity and nuance are the key words here.
with that being said, that's all i'll say about this for now (and for a long time). i want to have fun with this show i cherish so incredibly much.
