“Until next time” - Next time has come, Miss Maple. Are you happy?
I assumed we would’ve disconnected by now, it must be a remarkably strong Bluetooth connection. But it’s a good sign, no? Reflecting healthy and well-regulated cycles. "Let us have a dance party," - said no woman on her period. Miss Superwoman went a bit overboard with this one, we must forgive her. But she redeemed herself with that water comment. Absolutely, more hydration, more showers, and maybe thermophores. 👍
Unfortunately, you lost me at matcha, it confused my taste buds, I’ll stay loyal to my green tea. I’d ask what kind of tea Miss Maple likes but I have a feeling she’s the type who goes: any tea, as long as it’s warm. The chocolate is overly sweet, what a tragedy indeed. Pray excuse me while I take it away and enjoy.
A huge star, hm? I’m usually the one being blinded. Now we’re both blind, what shall we do? I have my answer ready, but I’ll hear out the other side first.
Meteor showers sound like a mesmerizing activity. I can only remember “watching” the eclipse but it couldn’t possibly be as spectacular as meteor showers.
Bugs are one of the reasons why I appreciate colder weather. And speaking of my inclinations towards the cold, I can’t spend too much time in hot water (unless I’m chilled to the bone). So hot tubs and pools -> yes, but only accompanied by at least crisp air.
“Could be part of your charm” is it not? Or is there something bigger that outshines it? But generally, in the AI era, we all should strive to be less robotic and more human. And I don’t think you understood when I said “my eyebrows are limited to ⬅️⬆️⬇️➡️”. There’s absolutely no possibility of them moving in any other way. Perhaps my head just holds too much tension.
Well, I don’t bike that often, it’s more recreational activity for me. In a real-life scenario, your pace would make me want to go home sooner than any bad seating could. But thank you for the heads up about the hip bones.
That’s beautiful :) Based on how much you remember, how many of the cyclist milestones are thriving in your memory, it’s clear you also thrive while doing this.
"WHY, CELIA, WHY... boohoohoo... why you do this to me. *pounds the ground* This cliffhanger is too much for my heart!" -> And then Miss Maple had the nerve to call me dramatic. This is known as projection.
Now I’m standing under my umbrella, considering pretending I don’t know the strange woman on the ground. Fortunately for you, my empathy won out, and I decided to shield you from the rain. But my umbrella is too small for two people, so we both ended up wet. You’re responsible for drying my hair. Don’t try to negotiate, it’s your fault.
I’m changing my opinion about the damage as you did manage to slightly shock me in private, just a sudden imbalance of electrons. And is that a (not so) subtle way of redirecting my focus to that banner?
I’m the only one you can imagine saying that in such tone? I find it hard to believe. It’s not so much sharp, I’d call it “serious, mixed with appalled, with a sprinkle of mock disappointment”. Miss Maple would’ve needed to pull a serious stunt for it to turn sharp, and I don’t mean that as an encouragement.
I will not be using your body as a punching bag, what an idea. You may have meant it playfully, but I’m dead serious. My emotions are mine to deal with, not to take it out on somebody. I’m closer to offering a massage than hitting you. Honestly, that anger usually stems from a destabilized sense of safety, so a simple hug might be enough.
“The dramatics” I really want o copy and paste that one part again, but I’ll spare you, and give the ground a break. Miss Maple's letters are the cheese blocks? I’m certainly not following her blindly.
That’s a shame not many stars are visible. One of my 18th birthday present was a depiction of star constellation during the exact time and place I was born.
I love night drives, highways or not. There’s generally something calming about the city when the most of it is asleep. Almost like we crossed the border of existing and dreaming, suspended in between.
A Summer Night, 1890 by Winslow Homer.
Wait. Give me a moment. The happiness is building up. Okay, wait... wait... it's almost there. Ope. Nope. It went back down.
I'm just teasing, LOL, I love seeing you in my inbox, Celia, just as I do with any of your messages. :)
It's funny, I typically don't have a dance party during my period but I DO when I have a cold, which feels far worse. I think that's exactly why I have the dances in the first place, feels too tough so I gotta build myself up.
Period commercials here have changed somewhat. I don't see the ones where women go clubbing or dancing or have HIIT exercises, not as much anyway. They also changed the colour of the liquid in period pad commercials from blue to red. The blue colour was funny. Yes, we totally bleed blue.
It can be far worse around the world. There are still several countries that won't or are more restricted on advertising about health, including hygiene products. Even body wash is avoided.
I'm going to try feeling more like a superwoman with the next few days off. The weather's not making it easy. It's been almost non-stop rain this week. It's enjoyable if we're doing some reading and writing, not so much if I need to get myself biking.
Heat pads do feel like a miracle. I'm surprised I haven't had them earlier, but once I did they help almost right away. I'm not sure how I survived before that, haha. Though, thankfully, much better with age, despite some cycles being harder than others, but overall better.
I lost you at matcha??? NO, CELIA, NO, DON'T LEAVE ME. My poor heart is cracking. It's funny how big matcha has become in the cities here, to the point that city folk will find it crazy if someone hasn't had matcha or doesn't like it. It's certainly much better as ice cream. I usually just mix the two at home or freeze them as popsicles.
You are most welcome to take away the super sweet stuff. But I do request to have one super sweet thing with me, which is Celia herself.
Well, if we're both blind, I'll trust that you'll be able to guide me, lol. I think it would be a fun exercise to just listen to each other, allow us to focus more on our voices and really feel how beautiful it is.
Yes, the summer came by so quickly and suddenly became even more humid. Humidity is definitely one of my enemies. Sucking the energy out of my brain. I don't think I've ever spent much time in hot water, necessarily, just the right temperature. I have had cold showers maybe two or three times, years between each other. I seem to forget each time how stiff my body becomes after it.
I think people find your charm to be more than the messiness, or they think less of the messiness, more of your poetic self. And how beautifully you might see people and the world.
Are your eyebrows stick-ons that they move left and right? Or do they move by a bluetooth device? Just kidding, I'm not sure how the brow wiggling became a thing for me. I only remember being able to do it. Similar to keyboarding. I have a very short memory of practicing the correct position, but otherwise it seemed to come to me naturally.
The respectful thing to do when biking in twos or groups is to adjust the speed so everyone is, for the most part, biking together. There are times where we'll go separately but it should only last for up to five minutes. You definitely won't find me constantly out-pacing you. Your company matters more. :) Besides, if you did want to go home, I'll come along, too.
That's a good story you've got going. Imagine me getting up, shaking my hair, just to get more of the rain on you. I might help with the hair-drying, but I also might blow some of that air on your face. That's just me being the teasing Maple I am.
You're always welcome to look at my banner and say more about it or other things, privately or here. I can always try to take requests from the wonderful Celia and see how I can meet her expectations. Maybe future photos might be just as shocking, or perhaps underwhelming, lol.
Haha, well, no, not punching me like a punching bag, exactly. I meant a percussion massage on the back. Rhythmic beating and pounding. Quite pleasant on the back, or a very heavy weight on the back.
I'm glad my vocabulary provides ample entertainment, lol. But you have spared me, which means I might come up with more funny or dramatic lines.
That's a thoughtful birthday present. If we're talking about things bought, probably a telescope and microscope set was my favourite gift, orrrr this huge science book that I remember was fun to read. Other than that, handwritten letters. And besides that, the gift of health. Just feeling good and being healthy, that'd be good enough for me.
That's a beautiful painting. Aww. Do you find these on Tumblr or are there specific sites you find them on? Thank you for sharing that. I'd certainly invite you for a dance, whether on the beach or anywhere else.
Have a great weekend and take care. :)
