Ever since Stefan began avoiding his parents around a year ago, he seldom visited his hometown. Though, living in the city only a couple minutes away wasn’t much of avoidance to begin with. Needless to say, there were few things he needed here and there. It was a Sunday, and if he knew his parents, he knew they’d be anywhere but the boardwalk area. He’d just come back from the docks, fully supplied with some oils and extracts which were much needed for a witch’s protection gain. According to Lexi, anyway. By the time he reached the town square of Beacon’s Harbor, rain began pouring down. In a short span of time, Stefan moved to hide under the roofed area of the sidewalk, many stores along the pathway. As seconds went by, the sound of the raindrops trampled down, and the streets emptied out.
Finally, the silence was broken by a gentle tap. He turned around, the blank expression quickly curving to a smile. Once Diana brought it to his attention that her shirt had been damp, and thus see-through, Stefan quickly glanced to the sight of her arms crossing. But not in a pervy way, just the way that any other person couldn’t help looking; like a car crash. “Miss Diana Meade’s at it again—” Stefan joked, all whilst removing his sweatshirt. Under it, he wore one of his usual v-neck tees. In California weather, that was warm enough for November weather. “Here.” He handed it to her, shoving his hands into his pockets after. Stefan glanced around the heavily pouring rain still around them, merely avoiding looking at her in effort to grant her a second of privacy. “I guess we’re trapped.” He shrugged, averting his gaze back to the brunette.
She folded her arms just a little tighter as she saw his gaze may have dropped a little. “We never do meet under normal circumstances, do we? Which is a shame, because I swear I’m a normal person.”
She muttered thanks as he passed his sweatshirt, and cursed to herself as she did exactly what she was uncomfortable about Stefan doing. But damn, she couldn’t help but let her eyes linger over his form. Quickly moving her eyes away before she hoped he had noticed her wandering gaze. She pulled the shirt over her own clothing.
Taking steps to stand next to him, she looked out at the rain. “No, we might be here for a while longer at this rate.” She moved her arms to behind her back, loosely holding her own hands. “So what were you doing around these parts? From memory you live in the City, don’t you?”
