jaskier turning to geralt: so i heard vampires sparkle
geralt: no they dont
jaskier: hmmm i did a research im pretty sure they sparkle geralt. are you forgetting this?
geralt, eye twitching: vampires dont sparkle.
jaskier: hmmmmmm i think youre wrong. ive seen vampire films and they definitely sparkled
geralt: twilight is not a documentary. i hunt vampires. ive seen vampires. they. dont. sparkle
jaskier: yeah but i think they do
sometimes I wanna reply “bitch me too” to my mutuals posts but I’ve never talked 2 them so they might not see it as friendly joking so i just dont
reblog if it’s okay to say “bitch me too” to you if you’re mutuals
What piece of misinformation do you hear the most often?
Most mornings, my mum has sent me something on WhatsApp which is usually wrong! The one I’ve seen the most is about drinking lots of water regularly, or gargling, to ‘dislodge’ the virus. Even though it’s good to stay hydrated, there’s no evidence in favour of gargling or drinking every 15 minutes!
Check out the full Answer Time here!
I am a health professional. I really question Tumblr’s “question and answer” statements. I found this one particularly upsetting as gargling with water absolutely 100% does kill and wash out viruses, all viruses.
No you cannot guarantee you will not get sick, however, it’s a wonderful preventative tool, and one that assists the immune system, which is what you want to do at this time. This is the kind of stuff that should be encouraged along with a strong immune regimen like taking both Vitamin A and Vitamin D in dropper form.
I understand this info comes from “Dr. Rita”, but she is just ONE health professional, with one opinion. Question everything. Never trust just one professional - even me!
So, as a professional, I firmly disagree. Now you have two bits of information. Decide for yourself.
Good news amidst all this chaos
This is absolutely great. I loved reading this and it warmed my heart. I just posted on instagram tonight from Dr. Joe Dispenza:
“We have to begin to do what’s unnatural--that is, to give in the midst of crisis, when everyone is feeling lack and poverty; to love when everyone is angry and judging others; to demonstrate courage and peace when everyone else is in fear; to show kindness when others are displaying hostility and aggression; to surrender to possibility when the rest of the world is aggressively pushing to be first, trying to control outcomes, and fiercely competing in an endless drive to get to the top; to knowingly smile in the face of adversity; and to cultivate the feeling of wholeness when we’re diagnosed as sick.”

Mock Back to Tumblr? Sorta
Hey all!
It’s been an age. How’s the PG-13 over here?
I have decided to come back, but I’m going to be fully transparent, I am not here for social calls. I mean, feel free to say a friendly “Hallo”, but the reason I am back is to be around in case you’d like to hire me.
This year one of Mock’s big adventures is to have a go at a writing business. If you follow me on AO3, you know I’ve been cranking out the chapters at a machine rate. I’ve always had an affluent muse, I pretty much don’t get writer’s block, and I just feel I have a lot to offer in terms of help for other writers.
I watch a lot of writers and artists struggle, and I’ve helped a number of them bust out of their ruts and that makes me really happy. I have a passion for it.
I’d also like to create a *positive* community for writers who want to write what *they* want to write and draw what they want to draw free from the “tell you what to do” police out there.
So yeah, these are just some of my ideas. I plan to write blogs based on this, and that’s all I’m going to post here -- stuff “on writing”. Writing advice and tips, and even if you don’t write, but draw, you may want to follow; just general “Creative Therapy.”
I want you to be able to reach out to me, if you want to hire me :)
You will, of course hear about my stories here as well.
If that sounds interesting to you, follow me! If not, then you may not want to have me on your dash.
I hope you will follow along though. I’m going to feature some other great artists you’ll want to know about!
CORONAVIRUS ADVICE
Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a human pathogen. Viruses similar to COVID-19 spread in the same way as the flu: infection from coughing, sneezing, and contact with contaminated bodily fluids.
Symptoms of the coronavirus are similar to those of the seasonal flu: congestion, coughing, fever, headache and nausea.
The majority (4 out of every 5 people infected) will have mild flu-like symptoms.
COVID-19 poses the greatest risk to the very old, very young, and immunocompromised (asthmatic patients, recent surgery patients, people with chronic long term illness and people undergoing chemotherapy).
Again for the record: AS FAR AS WE KNOW CORONAVIRUS POSES NO SIGNIFICANT LONG TERM IMPLICATIONS UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY IMMUNOCOMPROMISED.
The spread of novel coronavirus can be prevented by proper hygiene. Wash your hands thoroughly, including in between your fingers and under your nails, use hand sanitiser, and make sure to cough and sneeze into tissues or into the crook of your elbow to minimise droplet infection.
If you are returning from an affected area and begin to experience flu-like symptoms, self-isolate at home for 14 days and contact your local health authority to inform them - this can be done by calling the NHS 111 number in the UK.
DO NOT WALK INTO A&E / THE EMERGENCY ROOM IF YOU'VE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM AN AFFECTED AREA AND ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS: IF YOU DO HAVE THE CORONAVIRUS YOU ARE POTENTIALLY EXPOSING THE AT-RISK GROUP TO THE VIRUS.
Remember, your flu symptoms are far, FAR more likely to be the actual flu than coronavirus.
I'm a biomedical scientist. Knowing how disease works is uh. literally my job. For most of us, the coronavirus poses no significant risk. The precautions are to protect those who are already ill/unable to fight the disease effectively.
