‘Zodiac’ Characters & Their Hogwarts Houses

Rhoma Grace is a Hufflepuff. Do not fight me on this. Romina Russell herself could pop out of my screen and smack me with every book in the series and tell me I’m wrong and I would not relent.

She’s so???? loyal?????? Almost to a fault????? Reminds me of Cedric sometimes

Nishi and Hysan are obviously Ravenclaws. Nish has that Luna Lovegood vibe about her; if she was at Hogwarts, I feel like other Ravenclaws would skirt around her because her brain, while incredibly brilliant, is simply not wired the same as anyone else’s.

They wouldn’t avoid Nish like they avoided Luna, though… they avoided Luna because they thought she was weird. I think Nish has too much star power for a normal witch/wizard to handle.

Hysan would be extremely popular in Ravenclaw. The golden boy. Think Cedric levels of popularity. Of course it’s all for good reason— he’s brilliant, he’s handsome, he’s funny, and he’ll let you borrow his broom for illegal rescue missions at the Ministry in case you don’t want to ride by thestral.

Matthias is a Slytherin. MATTHIAS IS A SLYTHERIN.

D’you remember Rho in Book 1 lowkey roasting him when she’s like, “I know you don’t approve of me being the new Holy Leader… I know you think it should’ve been you”, or something along those lines…

And Matthias doesn’t deny it

Because he can’t

Because she’s right

Don’t get me wrong, Matthias is amazing and brave as hell and loyal to Rho

But Slytherins can be brave just as Gryffindors can be loyal like Neville or brilliant like Hermione

Mathias is ambitious af

He’s older than Rho but still EXTREMELY YOUNG for his position

Not to mention that he’s like constantly trying to tell Hysan how to be a proper leader like he has an actual clue… what a Slytherin thing to do

Deke is a Hufflepuff like Rho. This goes without saying

Inktober 2017 Day 28: Fall Twenty-eighth we have “Rho” Rhoma Grace, with *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* from the Zodiac Universe by @rominagarber. We all know what was skipped through quickly in her visions of the past, something like this scene! The prompt “fall” could refer here to the fall of these soulmate’s relationship, or that this scene was maybe their last prior to a certain fall from grace. OR that they had “fallen” for each other. Thirteen Rising Analysis [prologue - chapter 4]

Under the cut is the first analysis of the newly released Thirteen Rising, do not hit Keep reading if you have not read it.

Analysis Masterpost

Prologue:

- about Stanton, who kept Rho together when Kassandra left her

- parallel to the first book prologue, which is also an anecdote. Both prologues happened in the past, have a primary theme/motif, are about a significant person in Rho’s past life, and deal with teaching the younger Rho a lifelong lesson for the future.

- shows how Rho still worships her mother after all this time and all the pain she endured with her disappearance.

- gives away Stan’s true character and shows to the full extent how he filled the role of The Parent™ in the Grace household after Kass’s disappearance.

- “Don’t fear what you can’t touch” which is literally the opposite to the themes that everyone else follows “Trust Only What You Can Touch.” (zodiac anxiom)

- reveals a bunch of important themes, probably

1 and 2:

- Rho under the Sumber’s nightmare effects

- shows Rho’s distrust towards Hysan’s love for her, which is mostly empowered by the fact he has secrets and that one of them is he knew where Kassandra was. Reveals that she’s afraid she’s made the incorrect choice and that Mathias is now under Hysan’s control because she’s ‘given her heart to Hysan.’

- reveals what could happen, or at least what Rho thinks could happen, which is backed up by Corinthe’s and Ophiuchus’s actions in her dreams.

- Rho’s terror is running her in these nightmares

3 and 4:

- Nishi shows up, which proves two people under the Sumber’s effects can meet up through the Psynergy. Nishi appears to be just as damaged emotionally as Rho is, as she distrusts Rho when they first subconsciously meet.

- Brief meeting reveals how closely bonded Rho and Nishi are.

- After swallowed up with water, Rho realizes Nishi drowned, and performs CPR to save her.

- It’s revealed to everyone to wake up, you’ve got to face your greatest fear and be given the antidote

- Bird man referencing to the prologue. Squawk.

@stormy-reads​ nope. stopped at B&N around 9:30ish am, bought it. started reading fr around 10am, finished it around 1pm. I naturally read extremely fast (once read Bluestar's Prophecy in 5 hours, which is 500 pages), which is actually half due to me playing Town of Salem (fast paced game where chat is required to win) and Minecraft (some mini games in servers are also fast paced) as well being a voracious reader of fiction since I was little. I tend to miss smaller details which is why I’m rereading it right now from the beginning and doing analysis reports, which can be found here when you’ve finished specific chapters.

Typically speaking, my posts don’t really show up in the ‘TOP’ section if you search a specific phrase unless they’ve gotten a lot of notes. Hi! Now that I’m actually finished with the book, I’ve done the correct thing and slipped all the posts with spoilers under “read more.” It’s a ride, haha, and this is the post that I’ll link all my analysis to.

Each analysis post will have 0 correct grammar, so I apologize in advance. Currently, I just want to get all my thoughts down, haha.
