miss-serana started following you
"I thought vampires hated the sunlight."
"I suffer it when I have things to do. Like feed on those who ask stupid questions."
”Calm down, darling. I was just being friendly!” Clavicus grumbled, then gestured up to a barred gate that resided at the top of a long flight of stairs. ”That’s the quickest way out— actually, it’s probably the only way now, judging by the unfortunate rumblings of a landslide I heard not too long ago. Thing is, I’m not actually feeling inclined to part with the key to said gate, at this precise moment.”
Serana sighed, flicking her hair back. "Oh great Daedric Prince, please may you open the gate for this poor, lowly wanderer." she mimicked, knowing how tricky these deities were. "I'm sure my company couldn't be of that much interest."
At first, Brynjolf just assumed she was someone who needed to go to the temple for some hgealing, but seeing as how she noticed he was staring, and was making her way over, he could tell that wasn’t thr case now. Part of his job is to take in all of the details and figure out what exactly he needed to say; that way his honeyed words would be unique to each person.
He would answer any question when it came to him, but for the moment, he would wait by putting a few things back into his satchel. When he glances at one of the leftover potions, he notices she walked over, and now was the time to talk.
”Go right ahead, lass.” he replies as he grins at her. “I wouldn’t call it ‘watching’ as much as ‘observing’. It’s not everyday this humble little town gets a visitor.” he leans against his stand. “Though, there isn’t much to really get around here, unless fish are your thing…”
Serana snorted at that, looking around at the rather dull city. Not much around is right, the place was almost dimmer than the castle. Visitors probably weren't as popular in such a place as say, Whiterun, so she had to admit she probably did stick out a bit. That and her 'blending in' skills were a bit rusty.
"No, though I hear fishing isn't the only thing this city is infamous for," she gave him a side look. Sitting on her ass wasn't helping, so the best thing to do was to simply ask around. If the people and guards were as well paid off as the Guild were in her time, she should have no problem getting some information.

"I search for one to teach me!" He was rather excited to state his business. Leaning was pretty much the only thing he loved more than eating. "And eat good Skyrim-m food."
Tahl had hoped the woman had a sweetroll or something for him to chow down on. He found that the biggest problem to come with being a Minotaur is that if he enters shops, guards are quick to attack. Tough the aging bull wouldn’t hurt a fly and was terrified of frost spiders, some people can’t see his sweetness.
Leaning over Serana he sniffed her basket, quickly recoiling from the smell of nirnroot. Letting out a loud puff and giving the basket a glare.
Serana smiled at that. Food wasn't necessary for vampires, so she didn't eat much, but she could remember Skyrim had quite a high quality. Tahl was probably hoping she had some, but unfortunately her paraphernalia was a little more practical.
"Yeah, I need some rather obscure ingredients for a potion I'm working on. It took me a while to find some nirnroot. Luckily it has that sound," she smiled, wondering how used he was to people. "Do you often visit cities? You said people are afraid of you? Are your kind normally dangerous?" Perhaps they had more in common than she had thought.
"You’ve caught my attention," She said, her grip on her weapon slackening a small bit as she donned a serious and distrustful expression, " I ask you to elaborate a bit more before I assist you in a cause or anything of the sorts." She said, her lips pursed as she glanced to the scroll on her back. An elder scroll? She had read of them on many occasions…. but to be so close to one.
She had to resist a shiver.
Elaborating would be difficult for Serana, seeing how little trust was shared between the two of them. "My father isn't a good person, okay? He can't get his hands on this scroll. My mother locked me up to keep it safe, but I was released. I need to see what is happening in the castle, and how to stop it." She hoped that was enough for now. Anything could have passed since she last seen Volkihar, but it was important she knew where she stood.

miss-serana caught her attention.
Getting to Solitude from there would be a long journey, but Drusilla didn’t exactly mind. She seemed okay, despite being a vampire and she wanted to know more about her. The Nord nodded.
"If I get away from there alive, it’d be a great reward", she smiled faintly. Isran probably won’t be happy, but somehow she trusted Serana. "Alright, let’s go then. It’s a long journey from here and you need to get there as soon as possible." She’d most likely get her answers to her questions on the way. A place like this won’t make anyone open up.
Serana almost cracked a smile, knowing if she - or the elder scroll more likely - was still as a precious to her father as it once was, he would let Drusilla live for returning it. Perhaps even offer her a place in the clan, though it was unlikely the woman would take it.
"Alright, you're probably going to have to guide me a bit. The Skyrim roads may have changed a little, and I never traveled much as a girl anyway," she nodded, looking around for the exit.
"Of course," he giggled, "If any assistance is needed, Cicero is very good at hiding evidence. Or making it seem like someone had an unpleasant skooma trip. hehehe~"
Serana cracked half a smile, then slipped inside the inn, gesturing for him to follow. There were few people and most drunk. She'd have to wait a bit until they decided to fall into bed. "So so you do anything other than travel? Work or family or something?"
Lia just shrugged it off, she didn’t mind the dry state this island was in, better than snow storms all the time. When the elder Dunmer approached her, she stated her business on finding Miraak. Odly enogh he seemed to know but couldn’t place the name. “We should look around Raven Rock.”
"The people here are acting strange already. We should be careful," Serana frowned, overhearing the noble dunmer's state of confusion. They approached the mid market, and she took a look around for anything out of the ordinary. "Should we ask locals?"

miss-serana caught her attention.
Drusilla was thinking about the opportunity to fight this woman and bring the Elder Scroll to the Dawnguard - but if vampires trusted in her powers enough to let her keep it with herself, sealed away like this in the middle of nowhere… she must’ve been an ancient vampire and must’ve been really powerful.
Damnit, she thought, as her eyebrows furrowed. "Alright…", she nodded, "alright. My name’s Drusilla. Where do you need to go?" Perhaps the vampires would let her go in exchange for her… then she’d need to hurry back to the Dawnguard.
"My family had a castle west of Solitude, on an island. I'm guessing it's still there, like I said I have no idea how long I've been gone." she pondered, looking around at the dark tomb.
"I'm not trying to trick you, no one will harm you for bringing me there. In fact they'll probably offer you a reward. I just need to see what's going on." she explained as compactly as possible. It may not be as bad as she thought, but if it was - she may need a lot of help.
"Oh! Apologies, this one is called Raelys."
She gave an apologetic grin, sharp, serrated teeth flashing in the motion. She gathered herself, clasping her claws in the small of her back as she continued observing the vam-Serana. ”It is indeed a pleasure to meet you, Serana. Normally, I harbor excitement solely for Hircine’s man-beasts. But vampires are another race that I find fascinating.” She held admiration in her voice, head tilting bird-like as she spoke. ”Ah! That isn’t to say I view you as something to be studied, no; just, you are very interesting to me.”
"Werewolves? Why would you be interested in them?" she had always found them rather brute and, well, downright weird. Her father had called them filth mostly, so maybe those preconceptions had been drilled into her.
"Well I just wouldn't go around trying to observe every vampire you come across. Like I said, the common one's seem to have no brains." She and her kind had more control and power, and usually only fed off the sleeping or their own cattle. "So what were you doing out here? I didn't think Argonian's were nocturnal too." she smirked.
It was just another day in Riften for Brynjolf, as instead of pushing his “rare, and priceless” wares, he decided to enjoy the day. He’s in the middle of enjoying a sweetroll when he notices something out of the corner of his eye.
Not yet noticing the new arrival to the city, he turns and frowns. Figures one of the rookies decided to try to pull something in broad daylight. He gives them a look that says ‘go back’, before turning his attention to his routine. He wasn’t going to bail anyone out; it’s his time to relax.
Now, this was different. He notices the hooded figure, and he wonders for a moment if this is another rookie, but something about this mysterious figure looks far too awkward to be one of his own. He decides to watch for a moment to see exactly what would happen.
Serana folded her arms in an uncomfortable stance, the sun glaring at her through the clouds. It wasn't her favourite weather but she'd had to put up with it. Looking across the market, she almost stopped cold when she saw a tall, Nord man watching her, her heartbeat increasing.
She took in his stance and clothing and quickly decided to he wasn't one of the hunters. But he did look like he knew something. Sidling up through the people, she made sure she seemed as if she was innocently watching the stalls and she grew closer.
"Could I be so bold as to ask why you were watching me?" she murmured, only loud enough for him to hear.
