Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired||Arie & Lucinda
The coldest day of the year had fast approached, and Lucinda had been dreading it’s arrival. She knew the advantages of it all, the snow, hot chocolate and all the good things about winter. They were all well known advantages of the season, but as Lucinda trudged through the snow after a Quidditch Practice that only went for ten minutes before her Captain had to cancel it, Lucinda wasn’t sure the advantages were fully worth it.
Her plan for the day was to head over to the Slytherin Common Room and sit with Arie for a majority of the day, and that’s exactly what she was doing. Unfortuently, her best friend was sick, but in a way that just made most of their conversations more funny as Arie spoke with a funny voice from her illness. “Well, you do get chicken soup later.” Lucinda said, trying to make the elder witch feel just a little bit better.
Arie felt bad that Lucinda hadn't been able to go to Quidditch practice, truly bad. It wasn't something that she had ever wanted to happen because she knew that her best friend loved the sport more than air. Yet beneath that layers and layers of sickness that enveloped her the only thing the seventh year could find was crankiness. "I don't want chicken soup, I want to go to that party that Abbott is having in the Room of Requirement." Her voice had developed a shrill edge to it were it faded into oblivion as a sign that she was losing it.
Sighing as she sucked down another half of her mug full of tea, Arie rose up and moved to hug Lucinda, stopping herself before she made the movement however. "Aww fuck, I can't even hug you for being a good friend!" Turning away from her company, the Slytherine went over to a chest by the fire and pulled out a box for firewhiskey cauldrons and a spin board. With a grin on her lips, she held them out to Luc. Her friend was underage and she knew that, but no one in the commonroom would care or bear witness for fear of themselves. "Let's play?"
