school bag headcanons!

bokuto: - doesn’t own a pencil case, keeps all his stationary loose in his bag. Akaashi eventually managed to convince him to at least put it in a side pocket. - BIG impulse buyer, his keys are like an anchor with how weighted down with keyrings they are. if you give him a keyring as a gift he WILL put it on his keys, who is giving him all these keyrings? when will they stop?? - sometimes he manages to steal the absentminded notes Akaashi makes throughout the day before they can be trashed. sometimes it’s just nonsense like ‘block is like umbrella: stops things.’ he also writes about Koutarou a lot but there’s nothing to read into there… right? - has the lightest bag of the entire team because he just fuckign forgets stuff or puts things in other people’s bags by mistake… or not.

akaashi: - the heaviest bag. not by choice but he just has everything for every awful situation that could possibly happen. like sure he doesn’t need that mini first-aid kit but what if the day he takes it out is the day that someone injures themselves? better safe than sorry. - his bag used to be filled with post-it notes and paper scraps with scribbled notes-to-self but now he has a proper notebook. it’s pretty busy, highlighted all over with a heavy coverage of ink over his more embarrassing notes and scraps of paper taped down over every page but now every fleeting thought or general observation has its own pride of place in his messy little journal notebook. - sometimes, if he leaves it unattended, the team will scribble little doodles and notes down for him. Akaashi doesn’t mind.  - his notebook actually went missing during a school day once and reappeared again after practice with a jumble of numbers jotted on the very last page, he thinks it’s a phone number (he’s right) but he’s too scared to call it (it’s Bokuto.)
