Small Miracles Matter

In a few hours time, half of 2014 is almost done. It seems it went so fast. I have reached my first month at my new work and haven't noticed it. Maybe because of too much activities happening or maybe I was enjoying it. While I was on my way home earlier, I was thinking what my prayer requests would be for the next half of the year. I know there will be a long list but then instead of focusing on it, I focused on God's goodness. I haven't experienced great miracles but I concentrated on the small ones which made me very thankful. Small miracles such as arriving safely to/ from work while commuting, carpooling, family bonding on weekends, get-together with friends, and medicine working overnight so I can work the next day. In all these, I can see and feel God's hand working on my behalf. As I enter the next half of the year, I know God will continue guiding me and blessing me. I am excited on what He has in store for me.

May 11 - Today is my 100th post for the 100 days happy challenge. I remembered my former officemates saying that the challenge is too weird since there is something to be happy for everyday. Which I think is true. No matter how stressful the day can be, God always give us a reason to smile. Instead of doing the happy challenge, I challenged myself to put a post at my Tumblr account for 100 days. Since this is the 100th post and I'm not to sure when will be the next one, I would like to reflect and thank God on how drastic the past 4 months have been. The past months have been a total leap of faith for me. First with my love life and the other one was my job. I am not so sure on what will happen in the next few months or in the future but I heard Him instruct to just leave it/ give it up. As much as it hurts, I gave it all up. In my journey, God reminds me of the characters in the Bible such as Noah and Abraham. Both act and believed in Faith even though they do not know where God is leading them. They simply step in faith that God will fulfill His promises into their lives. As He reminds me these, I am not afraid anymore on what will happen to me tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. Currently, I am enjoying the season where I am in. I have a new and challenging work which I know He will help me be successful. The love life is on hold but I know at His own perfect timing, when my future partner and I are molded by Him, we are to fall in love and together serve Him. Thank you Lord for being on top of my life. In every season of my life, may you be God.

May 9 - Finally it's weekend! I get to rest my very tired feet but most of all it's time for some readjustment. My prayer before the day ends, may God reset my spiritual calendar and helped me focus on Him that I may also hear His still small voice. Happy Weekend!

May 08 - The traffic gets worse everyday and I'm so tired commuting to and from work. Sometimes I do want to give up plus the fact that my mom said I'm gaining so much weight. Makes me want to just give up on the world. Ha ha ha... But thank God for His daily reminders that I am always important to Him.

May 07 - Midweek is definitely over and Friday is reachable. 😍 After a long day (this is because of my attempt to still commute), my goal before 10pm hits: eat a home cooked meal, great bath, alone time with God and finally lay down in my comfortable bed. Home cooked meal will have to be out for now since I'll be having dinner with my clingies. I hope to wake up early tomorrow and try to be at work by 8:30 so I can leave early and be able to catch the Thursday praise and worship night in Ortigas. Ciao for now

May 6 - I've been meeting several new people at my work place since I started yesterday. I do not remember most of their names except for my bosses, girls from the digital team and Anna, my boss' EA. I hope to memorize all their names soon but I am very thankful that everyone seems to be nice and dedicated from their work. I know I will learn so much from them but I do have to make contributions that will benefit the team. In the next few days, I have to study hard to know about the brand and their techniques.

May 05 - First Monday at my new work. It was not busy yet as my boss hasn't briefed me on what my tasks since the team is still busy with meetings and setting up their new desk. I'm currently staying on my temporary desk since they are still settling on their new ones. Today I just went thru the company's social media assets and studied bits and pieces on how it work. It is a good day today except for the commuting to and from work. Hoping I'll get used to this in the long run. Happy Monday!

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. - Hebrews 11:1

May 4 - It is so timely that Pastor Nuel's message during today's series break is about Faith. We studied Hebrews 11 on how Noah and Abraham thru faith obeyed God even though they do not know what the future would bring. They simply trusted Him, left all that they have in order to pursue what He is asking them to do. They simply trusted God because they know that He holds the future. As I start a new chapter in my career, I was so afraid on what it can do in my life but upon being reminded of this I said to the Lord - Lord, remove all my doubts and worries. I entrust to you everything because I know you have plan a great future for me. Lord, in every season of my life, you will be my God. I will praise you all days. I am so ready to face tomorrow knowing that God is in control.

Be anxious for nothing. -Philippians 4:6

May 3 - My short but sweet vacation is about to end soon. Tomorrow is rest day and Monday will be a new chapter in my career. While waiting, I can't stop thinking if I did made the right decision of leaving my old job as a social media consultant and choose the one I am going to instead of the others which offered me good opportunities as well. I couldn't stop thinking if I can do the job well, stay there for long, have great bosses and colleagues. It kept running on my mind until I came across this verse -- "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God" (Philippians 4:6). It reminded me that God does not want me to agonize future events because worry paralyzes my prayer life or how I see Him. The apostle Paul asked us to ask God's help because when we continually take this approach to anxiety, God's peace will guard our hearts and minds. Worry gets us nowhere but prayer gets us in touch with God who can handle all concerns.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

May 2 - Last night I was reading a book and came across this line "God is most glorified in us when we are more satisfied in Him". It has always been my prayer this year that in everything that I do, I want God to be glorified. That is why as much as it hurts for me to give up things in my life, I did follow what He asked me to do. It was hard at first but He eventually lead me thru discover more happiness in my current situation. I think this line is God's way of saying to me that as I get out of my comfort zone, He is in charge of me and I should find my completeness in Him - not searching for the perfect partner or the perfect work or officemates. Thru Him, I should be more than satisfied. In this way, He is more than happy because He is glorified thru it.

May 1 - Happy Labor's Day everyone!!! It's a new month. It's a new day and I am so excited on what God is in store for me this month and the coming months ahead as I enter a new beginning in my life. Lord, I do not know what is ahead but I will follow where you lead me. I pray that I get to give glory to you where you send me.

Apr 29 - I had a great time at today's Mix and Match event of our company. I learned so much from the speakers on how important it is to mix traditional and digital media in order to target your audience and have a high ROI. At the same time, it is also a time to say goodbye to the teams I've worked with for the past two years. As much as I do not want to go, I think God is calling me to a different place this time. I will miss all of them since they've been a great team. Thank you Lord for giving them to me and letting us cross paths.

Apr 28 - It was not a manic Monday for me but it is still busy running some errands - long queue at the bank to beat my deadline, dropped by iSentia office, check up with the doc for my painful neck and helped my little sister with all her plans (which made it so stressful) but most of all... Think think and think...ha ha ha. However, I am still blessed. After a long day, I got to finally try Ramen Nagi which everyone is crazy for. After having a taste of it, I know that the craze is really true. The best ramen place in Manila so far. Yumm 😋

Apr 27 - It is definitely a great Sunday. Have finally tried Toby's Estate at Leviste, Makati with my family. Their flat white iced coffee and Patty Melt are really good. Definitely worth the price. I will go back and try their other coffee and food at the menu.😎

Apr 26 - I woke up with the worst stiff neck I have experienced in my life. I had it last Wednesday but was mildly gone by Friday however it is back today with an intense pain. I couldn't move my head much. :( I went to church today and the opening verse struck me that God is a God of promises. When he promises, He fulfills. I know that the pain I am feeling is just temporary, He will definitely heal it. It is thru grace that I will be okay. 😀

Apr 25 - Today is a different kind of Friday. I've experienced how to be a real citizen of this country by lining up very early infront of Galleria to get an NBI clearance. This time, I didn't asked for any help which could help me endure the almost 7 hrs wait until the mall opens and then line up for NBI processing. It is a blessing I was early, I got number 11. After 6 hrs of standing plus 30 mins of processing the NBI - I went home with nothing because I have a "hit" thus I could only claim my clearance on the 30th. Anyway, my mind and body are not working properly. I just need to sleep for now. Good night!

Apr 24 - Great Praise and Worship session tonight. Amazing how God met and reach out where I am. He reminded me that I am home in Him. No need to put on my best self, He loves me with my flaws, failures and all. Thank you Lord for your love and always running after me so I can go back to you.
