Ugly Animal Jail
The only ugly animal I see is the pig
Isolation is killing my newly re-emerged extroversion. So that's fun 😒
god i love being part of the internet’s most monetarily worthless user base. i love going to bed knowing that at least one social media site isn’t making shit off my presence.
Math time:
$1.1 billion paid by Verizon
Minus the purported $3 million buyout
Divided by numbers of unique users (380 million in August 2019)
You, personally, cost Verizon $2.89 USD
Never have I felt so proud.
Kind of gives you chills .
There’s a lot to unpack here. +the flexibility to get in that pose +the balance to stay on the skateboard +the strength to pull back a bowstring with your toes +the dexterity to hit a target while moving +the coordination… not hand-eye, but foot-eye …I don’t know what to do with these things now that I’ve unpacked them…
There’s a hidden level of brilliance in this moment:
Chef Boyardee is known today for his cheap out-of-the-can pasta, but in his native Italy he was a renowned expert chef. He was reduced to the face of microwaveable eateries after his death.
Sound like anyone else from this movie?
Chef Ettore Boiardi, known today as Chef Hector Boyardee, was a key player in keeping poverty struck families fed for a low price, before he ever came out with the canned pasta line. He would jar his sauce in milk bottles and provide bags of dry noodles for families in Cleveland, Ohio’s Little Italy sector. It was during the Depression, and pasta could be made in large portions at a low cost. This was the start of his venture.
After years of success, he eventually opened his canning facility, opened his restaurant “Il Giardino d’Italia” in New York, and helped feed the Allies during the war. Everyone always glazes over this part of his life, especially the Cleveland part. He lived here. He DIED here. He’s BURIED HERE. My mother took care of him at the nursing home she worked for in her early 20′s when he was ailing and spoke of nothing but the kindness he and his family radiated when they were there. Chef Boiardi was an immigrant with a dream and was always there to help those in need, because he knew what it was like to be in that position. Never let that go.
Hades' Brain Cell #1: What are you doing? We're blowing this!
Hades' Brain Cell #2: What am I supposed to do?! We don’t even know what made her like us in the first place!
Brain Cell #1: Look, it’s fine, hard part’s over. As long as she doesn’t throw us any curveballs, I think we’ll be okay.
Persephone: So...what should we do now?
Brain Cell #1: FUCK!
Brain Cell #2: What is she talking about, "do now"? What the hell comes next??
Brain Cell #1: I don't know! I forgot what Hecate said!
Brain Cell #2: Well, she asked us a question. We have to say something!
Brain Cell #1: Look, just say anything. Just say it with confidence.
Brain Cell #2: Um...All right, here goes.
Hades, out loud: We should get married.
Brain Cell #1: NOOOOOO!
Brain Cell #2: YOU SAID SAY ANYTHING!
Brain Cell #1: ANYTHING EXCEPT THAT, OBVIOUSLY!
Brain Cell #2: I'm sorry! I don't work well under pressure!
Brain Cell #1: Look, it’s fine, we’ll just play it off as a joke. No harm done.
Persephone: Sure! Let's do it!
Brain Cell #1: WHAT?!
Brain Cell #2: H-Hey! She seems pretty happy about it!
Meanwhile, across the mental gap...
Persephone's Brain Cell #1: WHY DID YOU SAY YES?!
Persephone's Brain Cell #2: I DON'T KNOW!
Even though we break up in the end...
My relationship imploded in March, in a tiny restaurant over a plate of chicken tikka. We were on two very different pages, I was planning the future, setting up my life insurance and adding funds to my 401k and they were slipping away.
God, I can still feel the blank look on my face when when they dropped the bomb on me, the ringing in my ears, the immediate panic attack of being so exposed in public. I don't even remeber them leaving the table. I remeber the owner of the restaurant asking me if I was okay, which I had no answer for, how could I be okay? I was trying desperately to hold myself together to get to safety. None of my friends believed me, my best friends thought I was kidding.
I'm over halfway through a bottle of red, again, unfortunately. My heart hurts, and has since then. Unloving someone is incredibly complicated. My Facebook memories are a minefield, my playlists hold hidden emotion traps.
I wish I could hate M. I wish I could find some anger and hold on to it, form and hold a grudge to protect myself. I'm trying to work towards indifference. I want to get to the point where our mutual friends can bring M up without it stabbing me in the heart, where I don't almost accidentally send M memes that remind me of them.
I am struggling to not let bitterness taint my happy memories, we were together for almost 5 years and there was a lot of good there, we got the dogs, and we loved each other well (at least I thought so). We shared our lives for those years, ups and downs and I don't want to cheapen any of that was bitterness.
I took this last week off and finally got rid of the rest of M's things. It was cathartic, and I cried, a lot. I'm dealing, which leads me back to tumblr, this is where I've always gone after a breakup, we'll be seeing more of each other my dears ❤️
Anyone have the gif’s of the Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler lifting two of her teammates with ease.
I need them for um reasons lol
Let’s take a look at it one more time
Just so we’re clear about what an absolute unit this woman is
Update: She can actually hold up three team mates.

This hit me much harder than anticipated. I feel it very deeply. Thank you for drawing it.
