fucking insane that I didn't know she worked on these scores. Like I knew she was important but I always thought she was more in the background. I feel like my family should've been telling me "You know, the person who did the score for tron was trans." I think that would've really excited me when I was younger, but Wendy Carlos ended up seeming like a niche figure. Your favorite musicians favorite musician, and not someone who so directly contributed to pop culture.
Maybe that's just because I'm not a huge music buff, but I do hope she gets more recognition since she's always been prouder to be trans because I know women like her have contributed to art.
