The Boxer Crab, also known as the Pom-Pom Crab wears anemonies on it's claws that it uses for catching food and fending off predators. They get the anemonies on their claws by coaxing the anemonies into releasing from their sedentary home by massaging them. The relationship between the two is debatably mutualistic, how much the anemone actually benefits from this is not completely clear. I higly recommend the Octopus Lady's video on them.

Garden snails can have anywhere from 14000 to 20000 teeth depending on the specis. Theyre microscopic grinding structures called radula.

The tapir frog was recently discovered in 2019 and described in '22. They have a distincly chocolate color, smooth skin, and my favourite part, a long schnozz. Not particularly fascinating, but exceedingly cute.

I'll be posting art I feel like sharing on here. I'm gonna try to post a drawing of an animal with some mildly interesting nature fact with it on thursdays from now on. Starting with the Silky Anteater, the smallest anteater and only known extant genus in cyclopididae. They are fully arboreal and have a prehensile tail. I think adorably doofy looking.
