Sardonyx sat in a tree while eating her snack. Her pigtales rustled in the wind and she listened to the sounds of wildlife in the area. As her mind wondered she swung her feet. ((misssardonyxhat))
The last thing Aslan remembered before blacking out was accepting a strange pendant from a merchant in the middle of the woods. Now he woke up to find himself falling out of the sky and heading straight for the ground. Thankfully the strange magical thing seemed to have some magic left, for when he landed it took all the damage instead, leaving one vary confused lad holding a broken pendant. Looking around he saw Sardonyx in the tree and waved.
"Hello there child, what is this place?"
Sardonyx perked up when she heard someone speak. She looked down at him and waved back. She chose to ignore the child comment. “Hello. You’re in the middle of the woods in Washington state, U.S.A. I take it you’re not from around here?”
She took a drink of her water. “If you’re lost I can see what I can do to help. Where are you from and what’s the last thing you remember?”
"Well I was in some woods like this one, and a strange merchant sold me this pendant thing. Next thing I knew I was falling out of the sky, and when I landed the pendant broke."
He then showed her the broken pendant.
"Also I've never heard of this 'washington' or 'U.S.A', are they a kingdom of some kind?"
The mystic looked at the pendent and hummed in thought. “It's probably enchanted. Upon touching it or whoever it was bestowed upon would be transported here.”
She put her snacks back in her backpack. She had a feeling he was from a different world. “As for your other question, the United States of America, U.S.A. for short, is a country under one government. But, each state has it’s own state government. Washington is one of fifty states that make up this country. It's very different from a traditional monarch. The people are free to choose their leaders, for example.”
Aslan listened and nodded before replying.
"Huh, weird place. Well nations aside I should probably find someone to fix this magical pendant, hopefully it'll send me back. Any idea where I can find someone adept in magic?"
The mystic grabbed her bag and hopped down. “How about we try my parents first? We’re a family of mystics. But, my Mom and Dad are better informed with the mystical relm than the rest of us.”
She paused for a brief moment. “Just forwarding, my family can be....loud to say the least. If you’re not comfortable with that I can take you to someone else.”
Aslan's ears perked up, "Your a Sorceror? Well that's quite convenient! I'll follow you to them then my tiny friend, and don't worry about them being loud my party gets noise complaints all the time."
He cackled at his own joke
She chuckled. “I’m glad to hear that. Your friends sound like fun.”
She held out a gloved hand. “It's too far to walk there. So, I’ll teleport us there. Is that okay with you?”
Aslan took her hand and nodded, "Sounds like a plan, lead on!"
Sardonyx nodded back. “Okay.”
In a flash of white, glitterly, light the two of them were transported from the forest and in front of a two story house. While this was also in a forest, it looked different.
She turned to Aslan. “Here we are! My home. Hopefully that teleportation wasn’t too rough on you.”
