i just haven't played trylan a lot and i'm still brainstorming his story.

Entry 8

Wayfarer foothills

Found the Svanir Shaman Chief I was after. Apparently a whole bunch of norn where also there trying to make their 'legend' or whatever. We took him down with ease but it's going to take forever to melt the ice out of my fur.

behind the scenes: Trylan went down for like a millisecond during the world boss fight. he won't get a scar for it, but he does get to sit in the nearest lodge for an in-game day.

Wayfarer foothills

Burn me the Shiverpeaks are colder than I thought they would be. Doesn't help that I'm paranoid now. been using my real name for this mapping expedition but now I'm weary to. what if someone knows me. The Svanir haven't been a problem lately. I helped the lionguard clean-up one of the Svanir lodges in the north foothills.

I got wind of a Svanir shaman messing around with some grawl further south so I went to check it out. If I can help my reputation maybe I'll stop constantly looking over my shoulder.

Everything went to shit. One of the grawl bit my leg and I spent the rest of the fight trying to survive on the ground. they quickly overran me, but a Norn came to my aid and fought them off just enough for my to get to my paws and stumble to the nearest lodge. The norn left quickly after with a curt bow. damn it. I'm too old for this much travel

Entry 6

Black Citadel

Just as I finished up mapping Diessia Plateau I got a summons from Kryo to meet in the citadel.

It was nice to talk with my legionnaire again even if most of it was them yelling at me.

Apparently, I've been 'too reckless' and gotten some serious attention drawn my way. mostly from the renegade troop I went undercover with a while back. So now, the Ebon Vanguard is after my renegade alias, the renegades are after me as a traitor. and the separatists think I have information.

The mapping job was supposed to be to help keep me on the down-low and now I've done the opposite.

Kryo's sending me west into the Shiverpeaks to get me away from Ascalon as he smooths out some ruffled fur.

We're not Ash, I don't know why Kryo loves spy shit so much, yeah, we're the best at it. but it gets tiring sometimes.

Entry 5

Diessa Plateau

Apologies for the sporadic updates. Things haven't been running smoothly as of late.

The separatists in Dunrock Gulch got wind that I knew something important. So, in my drunken haze from Meatoberfest they kidnapped me.

Guess that's the price for information these days huh.

I fought my way out, but the leader got a lucky shot on me. I'm staying in the Town of Nolan until I can get moving again.

The longer I stay in Ascalon the more dangerous it gets for me.

Diessa Plateau

I've gotten about half of the Plateau mapped out. so, I decided to give myself a break.

MEATOBERFEST!!

I used to come here when I was a scrappy young cub all the time! I even got banned one year! HA! They couldn't handle me!

I think I drank too much....

Entry 3

Plains of Ashford

Next few days went by uneventful. I finished mapping out the Plains of Ashford right before dusk. As I sat there in the ruins my legionnaires messenger bird flew in. Guess he finally remembered I existed. I'll shove the letter between these two pages for future reference.

Good work exploring all of Ashford. I heard you nearly got your tail kicked by some ghosts, but I'm confident you'll learn from your mistakes. Next, I recommend Diessa Plateau. It's just north of the toppled wall.

Don't get yourself killed out there.

Guess the old bastard is watching me. Because I totally needed that looming pressure moving on. I suspect he doesn't trust me because of my previous failure.

How am I going to earn back his trust if I've been demoted to a damn cartographer?

Entry 2

Plains of Ashford

Burn me!! I guess Kryo was right I am a bit rusty. I heard about some old ghost treasure deep in the Decimus Stones and decided to see if the rumors where true. They were but it wasn't worth it. That ghost captain was tougher than I anticipated, and I took some pretty heavy hits.

I'm hunkering down at Sharptail Encampment till I can get moving again. Guess I overestimated myself.

Entry 1

Plains of Ashford

First day went by. I finished mapping Ashford right outside the citadel. So many Warbands are looking for random gladiums to help them out with odd jobs and chores. I helped out a bit, mostly just because I had nothing better to do. Hope they didn't think I was a gladium.

I slept in the metal rafters of Smokestead. I would have stayed in the three legions court again but as the sun sets it just gets louder and rowdier.

I'm not expecting to hear from Kryo anytime soon. I'll continue further into the plains tomorrow

Ugh. This is stupid. Having to record all my 'findings' or whatever.

Guess I'll do an introduction if anyone ever finds this journal. The names Trylan MistBreaker. Lieutenant of the Iron legion and the Mist warband. My Legionnaire Kryo Mistcloak sent me out of the Citadel on an "important solo mission" I'm supposed to record and map out all of Tyria and report back with my 'findings'.

Kryo said it would be 'healthy' for me after my last undercover operation was blown. I think he just wants to get rid of me. I'll rip that part out if I survive this.

I stopped by the Three Legions Court on my way out of the Citadel to get some ale for the road. Burn me. This is going to take a while.
