people who insist tomtord is “”abusive”” in canon get on my nerves a bit i cant believe im going to defend one of my least favorite pairings but here goes. 1: a lot of eddsworlds humor is derived from all of them being jerks to each other. all of the main eddsworld characters have insulted, hurt, maimed and even killed fellow cast members. you can’t just cherrypick things. if this wasn’t the case i might see where you were coming from but its not out of place at all for the show. yeah, its not nice actions but its not abusive. 2: being mean to someone =/= being abusive 3: canonically, tom and tord aren’t abuser and victim. they are rivals that got super ramped up in the end. now, the fandom portrayal of tomtord is a lot different and i agree, fanon tomtord is often disgustingly abusive but that doesnt change the source material. but yeah people confusing a bunch of fandom mumbo jumbo for actual canon facts will always miff me. the fandom culture for eddsworld is quite a cryptid and at this point is almost entirely a separate entity from canon.
