I do greatly hesitate to say I'd write it the same way, now that I've been able to execute some of the heavier stuff I alluded to in the Goldeneye AU in much better ways (in works it made much more sense for), but the general setup of "Fem!Catwalker/Goldeneye gets paid to spy on Ladybug to uncover her identity and yet yuri happens in spite" is still perfectly decent. Now that I have a frankly better motivation for Adrien going forward, it's a lot less "purposeful character assassination-y".

Also, the much greater complexity between alliances is fun! I think it'd be neat, if I ever revisit it, to stress that Adrien wanting to prove himself right does not necessarily mean he will excuse Chrysalis's actions and work with her. Ladybug reverting to a "schoolgirl with a crush" mentality as a result of maladaptive coping mechanisms also gives her a lot more to work with, and I think it would be fun to watch her struggle with both herself (or the part of her that's burdened with The Secret) and her desires to grow closer to Goldie.

Especially if it results in a fake "Confessing The Secret" moment where Ladybug admits the truth, Goldeneye barely reacts (because Hawkmoth being Gabriel means nothing to her), which Marinette justifies as Adrien not being all that at risk of akumatization anyways and ergo gets a wrongly soothed conscience!

To which Goldie later realizes down the line that it's HER secret to keep now. And she's not so sure if she would pick telling her benefactor the truth about his dad over her new loyalty to Ladybug..... oooooh....

I think it would definitely take place in Helheim since at the end Magnus says “Hel had promised that I would see my mom again someday” so I’m curious about how that would go. If the gang does go to helheim, I just really need to see Blitzen get to see his dad again. I know it’s kind of implied he’s moved on from his death cause of the “I love you, dad. Goodbye” at the end of his making, but I really need this. I don’t remember is it’s stated that dwarfs and elf do something different when they die but the last two books were a lot of Hearth angst so now I really need more of Blitz content

as for Blitzstone, it’s not a necessity for them to be stated as “together” I do really like their dynamic of just chilling and being the everything to the other (though they lowkey make it a habit of trying to sacrifice themselves for the other) Again I just need more Blitz and Hearth content
