MUFE Flash Color Palette I am traumatized that I still don't have this in my possession yet. Saving up an arm and a leg to get this bad boy. A very versatile palette to create just about any color and can be used anywhere on the skin as desired! All makeup artists should have one as I was advised.
EMERALD - This years enchanting color. Let's get creative!

My other makeup kit, but without the makeup ;)
Got it for a good deal of $8.00CAD at Michaels!! It was marked down to 71% off so I bought pastel pencil crayons afterwards. There are only 5 left at the Michaels in the Country Hills neighborhood so better get one asap if you're interested.
Makeup is just makeup..
This a makeup look I did a few years back. It’s really simple to recreate. I used an airbrush, but the same technique can be achieve with eyeshadow. To get the print effect; Take a pair of fishnet tights, and stretch across the models face (you made need a hand, so ask your model to hold the tights in place) be sure that whichever way you position the diamond shapes, that you match them up as you work your way across the face / body. Otherwise it won’t be consistent. I sprayed two colours as you can see, and I used tape down the nose, to give me a perfect line. You use a sponge dipped in eyeshadow or body paint, and dab over the tights continually until you’re happy with the opacity of the colour. Then carefully pull the tights away and remove any defining tape. For the lips, you can mix the same eyeshadow colour with lipgloss like I did here. Have fun!

The Winner of my BE INSPIRED Competition!
After running an amazing successful competition on my Facebook page with my followers on the theme ‘Be Inspired’ where I encouraged my followers to be inspired by my Colour Run lips series and to take their designs and ‘Be Inspired’ and to re-create one of the looks in anyway however they want. It was a chance for creative to have fun, learn, experiment and to get creative with my project and this competition and each and every person most certainly did- I was overwhelmed with the entries and ended up having a first, second and third place (click >here< to see the winners)
Congratulations to Karen Hegarty MUA for coming ‘First ’ place from my ‘Be Inspired’ Colour Run competition where Karen will come and assist me on my next Colour Run Lip Series photoshoot! As soon as Karen posted up her entry I literally looked her work and imagined it being a professional photoshoot and me being INSPIRED from a make-up artist’s point of view- She took my work as inspiration and added her own twist onto it and nailed it! Well done Karen!
I always want to learn something new as a working artist. And I will surround myself with people that inspire me or at least inquire similar desires! So this competition has been amazing and inspiring for all. Thank you for everyone that entered ♥ Look out for more fun competitions in the furture with Karla Powell!

MUFE Pro Finish Foundation
$36.00 Exclusively at Sephora - 0.35 oz - Powder (Wet/Dry)
I can't wait to get my hands on this! My current holy grail is the MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation and I have a feeling MUFE's is going to top it off. The project was said to have started over 6 years ago and MUFE promises this new foundation will deliver long-lasting finish, resistance, color stability and good affinity with the skin thus targeting all skin types.
If you have already tried this, please comment your thoughts below and if you have combination like me, I would love to know how it affects you!
Had to see what the hype was about these raves..
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Revlon Colorstay Concealer/Corrector
L'oreal Lumi Foundation
L'oreal Lumi Concealer/Corrector
So far, I am really enjoying the L'Oreal Lumi foundation. It gives me a nice dewy glow and has sheer coverage. Very similar to a tinted moisturizer. The concealer/corrector is great for brightening up under-eye circles but I don't recommend using it as a concealer because the coverage and color is light. You don't want to be using anything light to conceal blemishes. Overall, this would be my go to foundation and corrector during days I don't want to wear too much makeup.
Revlon Colorstay - I have yet to test out this weekend. Post will be updated later.
Stay beautiful people!
Finally got my hands on YSL’s rival! FYI to all you brand whores, these L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine has the same formula as the YSL’s Glossy Stain. The only difference are the prices and YSL’s lighter tints are higher in pigment! Other than that, you’re basically suckered into just buying the name rather than the product and the quality itself. Oh and by the way. L’Oreal owns YSL and other brands listed in the following link: http://www.loreal.com/_en/_ww/brands-l-oreal.aspx
My Review
PROS: » I love how soft the applicator is! It picks up the color from the bottle well and applies it really nicely on your lips. » Darker colors are nicely pigmented. » Feel is non-sticky or thick. » Long lasting wear and doesn’t run. » I like how thin the texture is and it’s not sticky, but smooth and moisturizing at the initial application. CONS: » Examining the applicator; it seems as if it doesn’t reach the bottom of the bottle unless the bottom is shorter than what it looks. »There is definitely perfume in the ingredients. Not a fan of scented makeup because it messes with the sensitivity of my skin and my allergens react in weird ways when I take advantage of it. But I don’t mind the smell on the glosses. I just know my skin isn’t a fan of it. Has a fruity with some floral scent to it. » May need to apply two to three times to get a good cover on the lips because the gaurd on it doesn’t let you take out enough product. » Coral gloss looks too orange on my highly pigmented lips. So beware of what the colors will look like on your natural colored lips. »This is one of smallest volume packed glosses I’ve ever purchased and frankly, I think they should have either lowered the price a tad bit, or enlarge the volume. But obviously if you do compare it to YSL’s lip gloss, then of course you’d rather brag than complain! *Advice: Do not wear any balm or lip moisturizer prior to using it or else it will cause the gloss to create colored patches on your lips and the color will not be as pigmented. Apply balm/moisturizer/gloss on top at least 10 minutes AFTER you have set your tint. I recommend doing 2 layers of tint then let it set to really get that long lasting finish.
Isn’t she puurty? I purchased this cute kabuki brush at Dynamite (clothing store) today while I was shopping for dress pants. It was on sale for $5! Not the best for blending but it sure does look cute with my makeup brushes! Now there’s an idea! I think I should start a brush collection. The only problem is I don't like hoarding or keeping a lot of things if they’re useless. What do you think??

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Collection by Rimmel #004 (base), Covergirl Blast Flipstick in Tease (mid section with the lighter color highlighting the bottom mid section of my lips), Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Va Va Violet (outer corners)!
After waiting patiently over the holidays, my Professional Sigma brushes finally arrived! The hairs are so fine and soft! I love how the kabuki brushes hold on to any powder and gently transfer it to your skin. The kabuki brushes are also very good for my cream and liquid foundations, which help give me the best coverage with little product. Saw a couple hair falls from these babies, but it doesn’t worry me until I test it’s first wash. More reviews to come!
The following is what I purchased.
