So what happened?

Long story short, after a recon mission gone wrong for both team RWBY and team JNPR, the group got separated. Surprisingly Pyrrha and Ruby ended up together, right against a nest of grimm. This is them fighting together through the horde to get to the rendez-vous point at all cost.

He recognized her from the moment she walked into town, for how could he not? Pyrrha Nikos was a world renowned fighter even at her age, and talent scouts the world over followed her career with apt attention. Renatus had not expected to find her here though, in this place. A small smile grew on his face and he called out to her.

It was… disappointing that she didn’t recognize him in the slightest, but it was hardly surprising. She had always been so busy back in Sanctum. “No?” He asked, eyebrow piqued in amusement. “I recognize you though. We attended Sanctum Academy together, same class.”

Jumping up from his spot of sitting at the edge of a fountain, he held his hand out. “I should introduce myself then. Renatus Nicator, I attend Haven. So, what brings you to this small town of ours?”

The usual apology escapes her lips, barely passed an introduction and already she’s MESSED things up.  Perhaps this was why she went through combat school so isolated, with her head down and kept to the incredibly STRICT regime her mother had set.

Her arm comes up, an embarrassed look colours Pyrrha’s face.  “I’m SORRY!”  She just seemed to constantly mess up - it was no wander her mother had always been so disappointed in the red-haired champion.

                                    “It is a PLEASURE to meet you, Renatus.”  Though his question was both SIMPLE and COMPLICATED for her - a simple visit to her parents after being gone for so long.  The town had in fact been small, but at this moment it felt rather large with unbridled tension.
