mistymiddiana:
Misty only stared at her abdomen before looking back at him. She pressed his bandaged wound, which earned a hiss from her, to feel the severity of the wound. She didn’t really think about actually observing her wounds, just wanting to cover it up quickly to avoid any chance of an infection.
“Well.. You’re right, these bandages won’t do much, but it’s the best I could get for now. Unless you got something in mind,” Misty raised an eyebrow as she answered his question. “Anyway, my friend will be coming to fetch me soon, and by then he’ll have proper medical equipment ready to help me,” She cleaned the mess up for a little bit beflre relaxing on the couch.
She didn’t specify what type of wound was on her abdomen… If it was a bullet wound, this could spell out trouble. If it was a dagger wound, it’s a miracle she did not faint from the blood loss. Anyway, her wound on her abdomen was covered up so she didn’t think about it much. But from the look of size of the blood seeping into the bandages, it’s safe to assume it was not a bullet wound. Nonetheless, her abdomen wound was still bleeding and she didn’t seem to give a fuck. Help her with her abdomen wounds or give her space? Her lack of concern could get her sick..
“Even so, somethin’ needs t’ be done t’ stop the bleedin’ until then. That kind of stuff can kill you real quick.” He said, approaching Misty, and crouched next to her. He gave a quick glance at the dressed wound and at the hand on top of it before looking back to Misty’s face. The pain was evident on her features already, and he hated the idea of adding more on top of it, but it had to be done.
“A little more pressure needs t’ be added.” He informed upon that short examination, and then warned.
“This ‘s gonna hurt a little more, but try not t’ move much and t’ relax, okay?” Speedwagon said as he gently removed the girl’s hand from the dressed wound and carefully began to add some firm but gentle pressure over it with his own hand. Being taller, his hands were larger than Misty’s, so it should be easier to cover the affected area without much trouble that way.
He remained silent for a moment, mentally going through what the regular procedures for these kinds of wounds were like, being suture and, in certain cases, even cauterization, the normal ones to follow when a wound was too serious to heal on it’s own. Other cases could also require blood transfusions if the blood loss was too great. Hopefully none of that would be necessary, but they had to keep a close eye on it to determine what the next action to take should be.
“Oh. Your friend ’s a doctor?” He asked, entirely out of curiosity after hearing what Misty had just mentioned about a friend coming to get her. It made sense to him to think her friend could be a medic of some kind, or that he had some training on the field, at least, taking into account what she had revealed so far. Whatever the case was, they needed to at least minimize the bleeding before they could even try to find this other person, or try to take Misty to a hospital, whichever happened first.
As minutes went by, the blood slowly seeping through the bandages reached Speedwagon’s hand. That wet and warm sensation, far too unmistakable to dismiss it. The concern on the man’s features grew deeper. Granted, he had been in similar situations in the past, having received wounds that would bleed a lot and leave him feeling weak and sick for days, sometimes making the pain from the wound even worse. He normally could tell when an injury like that was far too serious or not, yeah, but one thing was gauging such things in himself and his own body of which he more or less knew the limits of, and a whole different thing was to determine the same on someone else. Someone he’d just met, for that matter. Robert called Li’s name out loud, urging his friend to rush over to check the girl out. If anything, he would be a lot more capable to determine what had to be done next. Faint footsteps coming their way could be heard as the other male made his way back to the room.
“We’re probably gonna have t’ rush you t’ a hospital soon, MIss.” Sure, Li knew how to suture a wound, having performed such procedures a few times before, and even had the necessary tools to do it, but if Misty ended up needing a transfusion, then there was only so much they could do without visiting a hospital.
The bleeding has slowed down, but it was still leaking blood nonetheless. As time passed, Robert could see Misty's face beginning to turn pale and her state more exhausted than before. Why hasn't the bleeding stopped? Misty only gripped tightly onto the blonde man's coat, her pained expression along with groans and hisses evident.
"Gah.. O-Okay I'm not joking anymore, this shit s-sucks..." Misty stuttered out, gripping even tighter.
Misty could feel the pain deeper within, meaning that she could be suffering from an internal bleeding. Even so, she couldn't go to the hospital. Number of possibilities ran in her head, and not one led to a good ending. She could only hope her close friend could track her in time to help her. As Li approached her and Robert mentioning of the need to bring her to the hospital, her expression changed to a worry
"D-Don't get me to a hospital please... I can last long enough for my friend to come.." She tried to put a strong front, but her weakened state was too obvious now. "Besides... I can't risk showing myself more than I already have..." What did she mean by that statement?
Her right arm appeared as she attempted to push Robert away. The dizziness and lightheadedness from the blood loss had made her no longer careful of exposing her right arm that was now very visible to the blonde. Her right arm had a shiny metallic look with dark grey lines that defined what was supposed to be the muscles. What an interesting design for an armour...
