will’s experience in the upside down plays out like a violent abduction and rape, that’s obvious, whereas holly’s is a clear allegory for grooming. the fact that she’s actually stuck in that flesh wall with the vine down her throat like will was but she thinks she’s in henry’s house listening to tiffany and baking cakes. just like children thinking they’re in love/have a special friend when in reality they are being abused :(
