Because you live in WASHINGTON so Trump didn't eliminate your protections because you still have the WASHINGTON protections, which include sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

Stating why you’ve chosen to skip an adaptation of a widely known work online is pretty normal. Hearing that they cut the Nobody scene automatically tells anyone who’s actually read the Odyssey that you’re cutting the scene that causes the main character to behave as he does for the rest of the epic tells people it’s probably not worth seeing. It’s like if they did Oedipus Rex with out the prophecy. It doesn’t work.

if u want to skip watching the movie thats fine, but the loudest critics of the odyssey are from ppl who havent watched the movie. if u havent watched the movie, then dont spread inaccurate info about it. bcuz half of the “criticism” i saw before the seeing the movie weren’t even an issue after i watched it.

Something I think about a lot is that Gretchen Whitmer ran for governor (and won, easily, twice, in Michigan) with a pledge to "fix the damn roads", right? Popular. Practical. Common sense. Kitchen table.

But what was her initial proposal to do that? Raise the gas tax. You know. Raise money from people using the damn roads. Practical. Common sense. And people lost their goddamn minds over it. Yes, there were other proposals (raising the tax for other people), but they wouldn't raise nearly as much money, likely not enough to fund what was being proposed.

That's the electorate we have to somehow appease. You want the thing, but you don't want to pay for the thing. I don't know how we deal with this long term.
