Penny happily returned his kiss and smiled as they parted. “Mine is out the back.” She said softly as she rested against him.
Mitch finished the water and set the bottle aside. He pulled her close content to be with her. "Good, I will want a few things from my room." He closed his eyes but didn't sleep. "Do I need to pack toys and other fun stuff?" His words were becoming less slurred but he still was not with it.

“I’m fine.” She promised as she sat down and watched him closely. “I just want to sleep.” She admitted, she was exhausted but she knew that she wouldn’t feel safe unless she was safe and sound in her apartment downtown curled up in her bed.
“Me too but I know I should try to eat.” Even though he was eating he put his other arm around her. “Well when they let us be able to come and go are you going home?” He didn’t want to be alone but he knew he would have to be, she needed away from the club which he could understand.

Penny nodded and sat him down in the nearest seat. “I’ll be back.” She said softly before disappearing and grabbing him some food and some more water. Coming back she sat down and handed him the plate.
Mitch dropped himself into the chair and closed his eyes, he didn’t pass out but was close. He waited for her return forcing himself to stay awake. He set the plate on his lap not trusting himself to hold it. “Thank you.” The color was gone from his face as he fought to put food in his mouth, he wasn’t rushing at all. He seemed calm though as if the demons were quiet within him. “you okay right now other than me being stupid and doing stupid things?”

“Penny I need to sit.” Mitch had closed his eyes the dizziness clearly bothering him. His words were slurred badly as he fought to keep himself with her. He was shaking from the fatigue and the lack of eating.

“I used to play baseball for the Detroit Tigers so yeah you could say that. So lawyers have been part of my life for a long time. However being involved in several lawsuits has made it worse as far as needing them.” Mitch kept his eyes on the bartender as he drank. “Sometimes it takes time, but then some things just never go away and you have to learn how to live with them.” A grim look was on his face as he finished his drink. He set the empty glass down easily. “Make me a double mudslide please.”
