my intro post has started getting attention again so i just wanted to give a heads up that i’m not really active anymore :^} i still lurk occasionally, but i don’t interact too much anymore

just read sickfics from 12-24!  12 hours straight because my workplace was closed today and i have nothing better to do with my life!  2022 is looking bright!

the peak of my experience on the internet was when i read a fic where someone who could fly also got airsick.  nothing has topped that and ever will

so was no one gonna tell me why the song heatwaves got popular or was i just supposed to find out by getting dreams smp as my 5th most listened to genre :|||

Hi I HATE healing magic

But consider: healing magic where the healer has to take on the injuries themself in order to heal the other person. I’ve only seen this used in Star Trek really but it stuck with me and I’m like Hm there’s something to this

Also consider: After a rough battle with an opposing magic user, the person is left without their usual healing powers.  They and their group who had grown accustomed to never having an injury or illness for more than an hour or so are left defenseless and vulnerable.  Their bodies are not trained in the self healing processes thus making their injuries last far longer than the average adult.

It’s awful when your favorite character isn’t a popular character because it’s next to impossible to find any fics/art for them

Comic relief characters going quiet due to illness/injury

Stoic characters walls crumbling as a result of illness/injury

Characters becoming standoffish to others as a result of their own pain

Characters becoming uncharacteristically whiney as a result of illness/injury

Characters avoiding others as a result of their illness/injury

Am I the only one who’s picky over which characters are being whumped?  For example if I like Character A more than Character B, then I cant read sick        B x caretaker A and enjoy it.  I guess I’m just picky

What's your stance on RPF?

RPF= Real person fanfiction (fanfiction about real people)

I personally don’t support writing RPF or RPS (real person shipping) because I think about how uncomfortable I would feel if I went online and found writings of me doing various strange activities (sometimes sexual).  It’s even worse with RPS because it can harm friendships, people who have been shipped with their close friends have talked about how strained it made their friendship feel since they both were already in relationships.
