The Forging of a Hunting Knife

… in Tosa, Japan. Meet master craftsman Hiro Komatsu. As a child having grown up next to a blacksmith shop he wanted to become one very badly. He apprenticed at the age of 16 under a master craftsman of forestry and hunting tools. He specializes in hunting knives.

The peeps behind “cellisization" were allowed to film him forging a 210mm "sword nata." The links to their guild site are linked in the video description. The video is in Japanese only for now on both the information and buying their products, but they are working to change that.

Dagger - Low Bind from a Reverse Strike

Fiore dagger work. Attacker coming from reverse strike. Defender goes for a hyper-extension, attacker bends the arm to break the counter, defender then forces the “Low Bind” or “Strong Key” to disable the attacker from break free.

Ignorance

He stared at the message on his tablet. 

"Damnit Bryon, you have to get involved somehow! Don't you care about what happens to our future?"

He nearly snarled as he snapped back a reply.

"Everything I fought for is gone, you privileged pile of shit."

His finger paused before sending the message, then moved to erase the words before adjusting his reply. 

"I am fucking retired, get off my balls and don't forget to bring the supplies I ordered."

He sent this reply without pause.

My Lack of activity

Hey! I have been rather absent as of late and I do apologize to anyone who had hopped to catch any of my characters for RP lately. I've been rather otherwise occupied with life and working on my own private world-building project I have going on. The project is something I am hoping to grow like a well-cared for flower that might bloom to fruition once I am able to properly write stories from the world itself. 

I haven't done such a thing in many years, most definitely not on my own. Sharing ideas of alternate universes for original characters between me and a close friend has been wonderful, but I do honestly need to get back to the detailed work that I honestly love to get into the nitty-gritty of. 

I need to push my imagination, to get my mind working again in the way I was once passionate about. Sharing ideas is grand, and honestly is a great way to inspire more ideas, but as happens with any great partnership, concessions must be made to ensure the enjoyment of both parties. While this is the only way people can passionately enjoy sharing anything together, I miss my own original ideals of the worlds I used to invent on my own.
