Aloha
Sunday, Funday!
Brunch at Little Dom's in LA. Waited 30mins for a table, so I would recommend calling in for reservations if possible. COCOnut saw this episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate on the Food Network and they featured the Breakfast Pizza. Our curiosity lead us here...
Eagerly waiting our orders...
Ordered the Breakfast Salmon Pizza. I didn't know it was going to be this big! The Salmon was so fresh and there were layers and layers of it in every bite I took.
He got the Breakfast Pizza and as recommended in the show, he ordered it with 2 eggs instead of 1, for egg in every bite! I asked him how it was and first word out of his mouth---CREAMY!
Their grilled smoked bacon...more like jerky, not crispy but tasty.
Because I didn't know how big the pizza was going to be, I ordered their French Toast Souffle with whipped creme fraiche. The creme fraiche was what made it special for me.
I went to a sewing class at Sew LA, while Franco went to a Birthday Party. We met up for church at 6pm and then headed to the Griffith Observatory. I just mentioned that I've never been...and next thing I knew I was watching the demo of the Tesla Coil!
Exploring the universe can really help build up an appetite. We finally decided to try the Umami Burger.

COCOnut Pop-up Card
In this month of love, I would like to share one of COCOnut's first of many surprises for me. I received it about a year ago...Time flies :)
He hid this pop-up card he made himself while I was at school and told me later on to find it. The front says "What's in my nut?" and inside you have a pop-up CHEStnut with "My CHEStnut! Missing you always" .
A mixed media piece I did.

Creativity is Contagious.
Yesterday I was driving home from my Bar Method Class, on Hermosa and Pier...and I came up with this line...

Spa Goodies Class
Spa Goodies Class offered at The Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica, CA
What I liked about it: You get to take home a ton of stuff and for our specific class, we got to take a friend for FREE...Coconut was my special guest. I liked it because we used ingredients that's easily found in any grocery and craft store, so it's easy to recreate at home.

New Work by Francesca Balaguer
Julie Edwards is a perpetual knitter, artist and other half of the two- piece band called The Pity Party, where she is known as Heisenflei ans does vocals, plays the maracas , keyboard and drums. In 2000, she opened The Little Knittery, a cozy and crafty yarn shop that offers classes taught by Julie herself. She shares that the teaching really makes her aware of her passion and patience for the craft. If she isn’t in the store or performing on stage, you would most probably catch her creating repurposed art with fellow band member M.
