I thought it was so weird a guy I work with was like Kylie Jenner is beautiful in real life not just on Instagram so I got zesty and said that pretty much anyone who had millions of dollars and thus access to skincare, plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures and beauty products would look good in person. and everyone seemed like defensive as if I was saying it’s a bad thing or “hating.” I literally haven’t ever said or typed that girl’s name before that moment and this one. I don’t care about her and I’m not mad at her for being pretty, I’m just saying for a man to say that not every woman is as beautiful in real life as Instagram makes me uncomfortable and it’s a moot point. Y'all make these impossible standards women are expected to maintain online and then put them down for not looking as good as a multimillionaire.. Idk

Nothing about womanhood is “inherent” every single standard women are held to is a product of societal expectations and generally varies by culture. Implying that womanhood is “inherent” would mean that if a girl was born completely alone she would automatically know exactly how to conform AND this would imply that every single woman across the world would have the same inborn need to do these things which we know as factually incorrect. Doing makeup, hair nails and all these things are TAUGHT by society to girls and women not through some inborn biological/mental need like hunger or sleep.  The concept of womanhood itself is a product of society not biology in any sense. So not only did your lil “trans women are outsiders” thing not make any sense you proved that you don’t understand shit about socialization or like basic biology. Must be sad to be this dumb :(

look. i don’t think my stretch marks are beautiful. i don’t think they’re tiger stripes or natural tattooos. i don’t think my acne is beautiful. i don’t think the bags under my eyes are beautiful. i just think they’re human. and i don’t think i have to be beautiful all of the time in order to be accepted and loved and sucessful. i don’t think every small detail of my outer appearence needs to be translated into prettiness.
